I thought Lipo-6 won "Fat Burner of the Year" two years in a row, from the BodyBuilding.com awards.

I was referring to Myozene.

Goatboy, there is no scientific proof that glutamine does anything.

A big mac would give you more anabolic results

Outright proof?  No.  Some positive studies? Yes.  The overall evidence is equivocal. As I said in my post, I don't take it, and I don't feel ANY supplements are necessary to build a quality physique. But, I would not place it in the "total snake-oil" category as I would most supplements.

Hope this helps.

hey tom,

im from australia...the prices here are a bloody rip off (eg- hyrdroxycut hardcore 120 pills is 70 us dollars, noxplode/cellmass 75 us dollars)

anyway i personally recomend stocking these items:

recomend people to use noi-xplode as their creatine and pre-workout kick, and work the angle that it works great with cell-mass after training. but recomend one if they cant afford both (probably no-xplode cos then they will physically feel the kick and want it again)

fat burner - hydroxycut hardcore, and i like thermoshred cos it gets rid of water but one bottle only lasts 17 days so it gets expensive i will only use it again when i am ripped.

hope that helps.

also for protien i buy a 5 kilo tub and relatively cheap local brand.

Yep Glutamine is a staple and a good protein powder..which ones do you like..
D

The only one I can stomach is Decadent Whey by Precision.

I think it used to be called Nature's Best.

Shit is delicious, it really tastes like a chocolate shake, mixes instantly and is low fat/carb.

$70? OUCH!!! That's rather painful for Hydroxycut Hardcore. Here, it averages $40-$45, though I've bought it for as little as $30.

ThermoShred is good. But, I don't care for the itchy scalp feeling I get from it.

Do your customers a favor and do NOT sell them free form L-Glutamine. It gets destroyed by HCl in the stomach. Only sell GLUTAMINE PEPTIDES.

Any amount for that stuff is "painful", since it's useless crap.

As a diet aid/stimulant, Ergopharm AMP is hands down the best.

I can see why. I don't buy off the net, because I don't use a credit card. Plus, most of the supplement I use, I can get from Vitamin Shoppe or GNC for the same price or less.

yeah the only pain in the but is shipping time. it can take between 1 and a half to four weeks to recieve...cos customs always checks the packages which holds it up.

supps in aus are a rip off... if i had to pay aussie prices i would only use protien and maybe do creatine for a couple months per year.

Top Sellers for Jan 07 @ BB.com - December 06 was the same

1. Optimum 100% Whey Protein -
2. BSN NO-Xplode
3. Nutrex Lipo 6
4. BSN CellMass
5. CytoSport Muscle Milk
6. Universal Animal Pak   <-- would love to see the fat profit margins on this shit lol (cheap vitamins in higher doses)

Current Best Sellers at Bulk Nutrition. No idea how they base this, seems odd. Venom and Amp are NOT major skus.

01. 100% Whey Protein - Gold Standard   <--- sells well because its priced well, decent value
02. NO-Xplode   <-- lol
03. 100% Whey Protein - Gold Standard
04. Venom Hyperdrive 3.0  <--- semi-novel, ok for a low stim. product
05. Amp   <-- way underrated, cleanest, steady pre-workout energy you can get, fat loss = non-existant, appetite suppression is decent.
06. Idebenone Powder  <-- Co-q10 analog, cheaper way of getting co-q10, getting popular, life extending crowd digs it too
07. Phenibut Powder  <-- relaxing but pointless
08. Xtend       <-- could go into why extra mega doses of BCAA dont even get used (but i wont)
09. Piracetam Powder  <---  another nootropic
10. X-Factor  <--- anything negated by fish oil = thrown out, also promotes inflammatory effect, debunked recently

The constants between just about any sites are ON and BSN-Xplode. Funny, because arginine and NO supplements are total horeshit (bogus).

Top Brands @ BB.com

   1. Optimum - Number Of Products: 137
   2. BSN - Number Of Products: 28
   3. NOW - Number Of Products: 463
   4. Higher Power - Number Of Products: 70
   5. Universal - Number Of Products: 110
   6. CytoSport - Number Of Products: 111
   7. Nutrex - Number Of Products: 8
   8. MuscleTech - Number Of Products: 65
   9. EAS - Number Of Products: 93
  10. AST - Number Of Products: 35

Top Fat Burners @ bb.com

1. Nutrex Lipo 6, 120 Liqui-Caps   <-- good for OTC
2. MuscleTech Hydroxycut, 100 Capsules <-- garbage, ingredients are a joke
3. Universal Animal M-Stak, 21 Paks <-- lol makes no sense
4. Universal Animal Cuts, 42 Paks    <-- least it has some stimulants in it
5. MAN Scorch, 168 Thermo-Caps        <--- ok
6. Higher Power Caffeine, 120 Capsules
7. Syntrax Fyre, 120 Capsules    <-- new, but ingredients are nothing special (and cheap)
8. S.A.N. Tight, 60 Capsules    <-- decent
9. Viridis Labs Ephedra 5, 90 Capsules

Hilarious, MT's new hydroxy cut is pure shit - no benefit. The hype from the original still perpetuates. Nutrex is one of the best on the market though. Proves most people really dont know shit and cant decipher what really works and what doesnt based on ingredients.

"Muscle Builder" category @ BB.com

1. BSN NO-Xplode, 1.81 Lbs.     <-- garbage (arginine is bogus)
2. BSN Nitrix, 180 Tablets    <-- equally lame
3. SciFit Extra Strength HMB, 750mg/120caps   <-- wtf? its almost as if it benefited from the name "extra strength" this is useless. Only thing I can attribute its success to might be the name. Its not ads, word of mouth or results...lol
4. MuscleTech Creakic, 180 Caplets  <-- not surprised

This is just sad. You wonder why the industry gets no respect from the outside heh

Makes me want to open an online store and sell useless crap supplements or something just because of all the kids and fools who will buy it.

Oral glutamine is useless you moronic pleb. You really need to do some research. There are no proven benefits. The final death blow is that you literally cant consume enough via GI to get blood levels up enough to matter (yes that includes peptides too). Dont take my word for it, anyone not selling it who knows dick will tell you the same.

IV on the other hand? That would be a revolution. The studies done on this with burn patients is what triggered the interest.

Try L-leucine. Protein (whey) + Carbs + L-leucine post-workout is the most effective thing a person can do besides using hormones.

p.s. dont bother posting pro-glutamine bastardized pubmeds or garbage science, ive seen them all.

Everyone should just save their money and use:
vitamins, fish oil, green tea (50% EGCG)
bump the vit d3 to 1000iu (or more), vitC at 2-3g/day
whey, egg whites (eggs are supremely underrated)
bulk l-leucine
creatine (clout or green magnitude are nice)
fiber if you dont get enough

if you want to splurge throw in some:
bulk beta-alanine
alcar + r-ala (no real muscle building benefit, just good for mind/body)
glucosamine / chondroitin -IF- you have joint issues or as a proactive effort
some of the new hormonal bumping things based on herbs/saponins can be interesting but its a minuscule increase at best

anything above and beyond this is going to require the involvement of exogenous hormones, sorry :{

in that case, best OTC legal oral steroid (at this time) is Epistane (I recommend Havoc). This is considering sides/results. Epistane has virtually none and its not overly hepatoxic like the others. You would be surprised with the results too.

This concludes supplements 101.

Some sort of Zinc + Magnesium + Vitamin B6 combination works well
