Chris Mason, trying to sound smart...
« on: February 12, 2007, 04:26:57 PM »
"Let me tell you exactly how the drugs are the cause. First, steroids are immunodepressors, they depress the immune system. Ulcers are now believed to be caused by a bacterial infection. A depressed immune system opens the door for opportunistic bacteria to have a field day and cause things such as horrible ulcers. That is why you see pros get weird infections (and recreational users). The drugs he used in combination with the massively excessive weight he carried increases blood pressure which places a strain on the kidneys. A massive intake of protein, when combined with jacked up blood pressure, doesn't help the situation.

This post should be a sticky in the anabolic forum. Things like this never get mentioned"

Monster knowing one thing about steroids, and trying to tie it to something unrelated.....lol

He took a ton of juice, a ton of rec drugs, and had high blood pressure for years.  That's what blew out his kidneys.  What does immunosupression have to do with it?  His MHC is going to be even extra mad at a new kidney?

Steroids aren't necessairy immunodepressors. They depress some part of the system and strengthen others. There's also differences between different steroids.
