Arguing in Polish!
« on: February 13, 2007, 08:52:35 AM »
At least I think it was Polish  ??? Anyway, I've just had the pleasure of sharing a lift with a Polish couple (and their baby) having a full blown argument while we descended 14 floors. Well actually she was doing all of the shouting, and although I couldn't understand what was being said, I could make out a word that sounded like bastard being said a fair few times.

For the last 3 or 4 floors of our descent her tone became more sarcastic towards him, like she was mocking him to wind him up more. The funny thing is whilst all this is going on, yours truly is stood there looking forward as if nothing is happening and she just didn't give a shit anyhow lol

Incidently, she is quite pretty but has this huge mole on the side of her nose

Elevators are fun places.

Last week I was in a lift in my doctor's building, which I shared with a Hassidic boy and, I guess, his sister.  She was wearing kind of dowdy clothes and it was pretty obvious that she was eyeballing mine i.e. short skirt, etc.  She looked envious... and don't think I was misinterpreting because her brother started giving her sh*t in a major way, in Yiddish.  Thing is, I understand Yiddish, so I was able to comprehend that he was calling me a "dirty whore", "filthy creature", among other not very nice things...  :-[ I too faced forward, didn't say a word, although I did feel like turning around and bouncing my knee off his matzah balls.

Doesn't that mean "I like it" or something? Or does it mean "Delicious"?

I was sitting at a bus stop once back in Germany, and there were these two chicks who took the seat beside me, I read an English book and one of them seriously started talking that she though I was hot and so forth to her friend in german thinking I was english and do not speak english (what is a foolish thing to think anyways)
just before the tram came around the corner she asked me about the book in English and me like dumbass answered her in German ;) she looked so embarrassed lol.
