Surveillance is good. We should use it at our damn borders and when we catch illegals, put a bar code on them.

Jk. But for real, surveillance is necessary, to what degree is up to us. I like the idea of in store, casinos, etc but not as much in public

For the border we should just put a few thousand national gaurd with m-60's and the problem would be solved.

We have a few thousand there already, and active duty also. But guess what they are armed with. Radios. They can radio to a border control agent who can then arrest the illegals

I read a story about a city in scotland....THey had cameras watching all of their intersections to get people running red lights...but the cameras kept getting vandalized. So they installed cameras to watch the other cameras. I wonder what would happen if they both got vandalized....would they get cameras to watch the cameras that watch the cameras that watch the red lights???

Cameras have been used in our country for years. There are cameras in certain "bad" parts of Honolulu. I've heard of them being used in some New Jersey neighborhoods.

Not sure, but there are certain parts of town where you walk or even drive by and clearly smell pakalolo. There are a LOT of people who grow the stuff on the Big Island too. Camel would love it.

Camera's have been around longer than Blair.

They were first installed to combat the very real threat of the IRA.

The Brits know a thing or 2 about terrorist attacks.
