hopefully soon, man. adonis abruptly stopped posting, so maybe he's out filming. just keep this thread moving and i'm sure they'll happen eventually.

it's a good thing he's taking so long, though. i hurt my dumb ass squatting today. teach me to use my suit without knee wraps.  :-\

That is very decent form for a powerlifting bench, but in a meet you must pause and wait for the press command. the deadlift you need to sit back more and drive with your heels but it was a good lift.

I'm a Judge for APA/WPA events and as long as your feet don't move and your butt is in constant contact you can "rainbow" arch all you want. anyone can google the rule book for powerlifting and see this with their own eyes. with a shirt you "must" arch properly or you will dump the weight.

Good luck Magoo, everyone has to start somewhere. you must get your feet wet, there are alot of nerves involded in getting up on that platform in front of people and judges to lift the weight. it's not like a gym lift.

there's a competive PL team at a local gym I go to once in awhile...they use about the same form for benching, maybe even a little more arch so I didn't think there was a problem...

yeah, overload, it was a touch and go lift i agree. but i bench shirted so lacking a pause raw is kind of a moot point, you know? you're definitely right about sitting back with the pull, and i think my biggest problem is my structure for that. short-ass arms, a big torso, makes it very awkward to sit back. that's why i switched to sumo. my hips aren't as strong as my lower back, but my form is a hell of a lot better. suited i missed 565 by an inch on monday because my right hand slipped (not enough chalk). hopefully in april i'll be around 600-ish.

i'd like to thank all of the people who've sent me positive PMs so far. a few of you i wouldn't expect because we've had some serious personal battles, and in the interest of not messing up the public feud i'll keep a lid on that.  ;D

but hey, give it up for adam, too. takes a lot of guts to put yourself on the line like that, i'm sure as soon as his videos start coming in this will start to get fun.

essentially he is turning a flat bench into a decline...his goal is not hypertrophy

it's not exactly comfortable. it's rather tight feeling and a little stretch on the quads, but it definitely doesn't hurt. the way it's done you aren't really putting much pressure on the spine, oddly.

thanks fella. i love lifting, my goal in terms of "looks" has always been to look like i lift as hard as i do. dave palumbo once said as a bodybuilder it's better to look like you bench 600 but only bench 300 as opposed to the opposite. personally i'd rather be in the middle, look like i bench 450 and bench 450.

i'd definitely like to be leaner, but i promised myself i'm going to do that meet, so i might as well follow up on a commitment for once. anything under 12% bf is kinda unnecessary for me, being shredded won't help me aside from being in a lower weight class, but at my height anything under 220 is going to leave me with some shitty leverage.

and boy do i feel owned. i mean, the sheer ownage weighing down on my shoulders as a result of accepting adonis's challenge and watching him scurry away with his tail tucked between his legs... it's almost too much to bear.  :-[
