Branch got married last year and honeymooned in Australia, if I recall correctly.

He took 5th at the aussie pro after he *shoulda* won the SafFran and did great at the ASC.

Then he honeymooned, etc. And didn't do so hot at the Olympia.

My guess is that branchy is now married and no longer willing to do what he used to do, to attain that suicidal level of conditioning that had him winning the Europa. If so, good for him. Priorities.

I will say Branch will place higher then Toney. Will he deserve it will be the question.

I think you have it twisted. Toney is definitely the new "it" guy. He's more marketable, so they'll throw it to him.

Branch tweaked his sodium at the "O" and spilled over. Won't happen again. He will be MASSIVE and DRY!!! Expect superior conditioning. He will be as dry as he was last year, or...at least, he is on pace to be. His legs are sic, as always, his chest hangs off his body. His back and arms are improved, and he is hellbent on making up for his Olympia placing.
Everyone keeps talking about Vic, Dexter, and Phil (with a littel talk about toney and Gustavo)...but, they need to remember that Branch should have wone this show last year, and will be as good, if not better this year.
Toney is awesome, but that pec tear will always hold him back a little (in my book), and holding it down for three straight shows, going coast to coast, will be tough.

Branch looks like he has reached his physical potential and hasn't gotten much success, I look for him to be on the decline.

I am totally on the Tony bandwagon yet. Why can't JJ win the big one?

JJ can't win because his legs are far too small for the level he's at, if you judged him by upper body alone then he'd be Mr. Olympia.

oddly enough he deadlifts a ton, I am not sure about his squat but I would expect it to be heavy also. I can't understand his development being so lacking

I peronally like tony's physique better..... however I feel branch will beat him if he shows up in good condition and with a bit more back detail
