You are an idiot. A great many fans of bodybuilding don't give a f**k about listening to an over the hill skank talk about getting fucked in her stretched out ass. So guess what, they think MD is about bodybuilding so they click on the site and have to listen to that shit. There is enough porn on the web, but not enough quality bodybuilding sites. I guess MD doesn't give a shit about quality though.
A lot of people don't like many aspects of bodybuilding culture. They can choose to turn the channel, so to speak, or leave that copy of MD on the shelf. That's their prerogative. I think you make good points above (I think "idiot" might be a bit strong--I'm really more of an "asshole").
For better or worse, the future of bodybuilding is as a subculture, not as a mainstream sport. A subculture is inherently different from the dominant culture (although there are areas of overlap). The bodybuilding subculture has sustained the sport since the 80s, and it continues to do so. The mainstream culture finds bodybuilding, its practitioners, and its fans, odd and unappealing.
MD has taken the pulse of bodybuilding culture, and they are representing it in their magazine and on their radio show for what is really
is, NOT what you or other ideologues
want it to be.
On their radio show, Chick and Dan do an amazing, mainstream, professional job of covering the sport in one way, and MD, on the other hand, covers other aspects of the sport.
Say "hi" to the pastor of your megachurch for me.
