Underwater swimming and VO2 max...

hypotheticaly..will swimming underwater holding your breath increase your hematocrit and hense your VO2 max?

i can do an olympic sized pool close to the ground..1 way..

till i ws 15 i lived 15 mins away from the beach..

back in the day i could swim the length of an olympic sized pool and 3/4 of the way back underwater..close to the floor..

today i made it 3/4 of the way...4 times..and i just recently quit smoking..

i'm gonna quit smoking when my testicles fall off too.  i'm enjoying a sweet cigarette now.  tastes so good.  have one.
