http://www.express.co.uk/news_detail.html?sku=1264Some of the comments make good readingI'm sure I am not alone in thinking that enough is enough from moslems in this country.
They make too much noise - far in excess of their supposed numbers amongst us. Talk about the islamic tail wagging the British Bulldog.
They must be told that if they do not like the way we do things here then they know where the airport is. There are many countries where they can live under the conditions they are demanding from us here.
Of course, it isn't only the moslems to blame for the noise they are making; this government's failed multicultural policies are also to blame as is the government for giving this group nourishment in return for votes. It has to stop.

This is a comedy article of course?
Actually, if it is a comedy article, it isn't a good one - it is not even remotely funny. In fact it is pretty scary stuff if a minority whose culture has little in common with the host community feels able to demand that it’s at best quirky, and at worst, completely alien ways should be imposed on us all.
And attended by somebody from the government? Get out of here!
Paul Wakeford, Frome
No, Muslims should not be allowed to tell us how to run our schools. This is the British Isles... thats BRITISH!!! Its worrying to think that this is being backed up by a government who doesnt know its backside from its elbow. If they want to live under Islamic law then they should flee to an Islamic country. If Muslims want to give their children a decent education then teach them at home. I can see things boiling over very shortly by the British public, and once that starts... the government will be powerless.
We need to unite as one and stop these sort of things from happening before its too late, something has to give... and im damn sure it wont be the British public.
Steve, Telford, England
When will someone with democratic accountability get the courage to tell people that faith is a private matter that should not have any bearing on school or civic policy. I don't want to see minarets and half-moons polluting our skylines and I don't want militant anglophobes peddling their medieval mythology on our streets.
NO to veils
NO to burqas
NO to blacked out car windows to 'protect the modesty of female drivers'
NO to halal school meals
NO to publicly funded 'prayer rooms'
NO NO NO to creeping islamic encroachment on British values!
Jerry Hart, Cambridge, UK
I am deeply offended by the very thought that a minority in this country who practice such a hateful religion should even have a say in MY CHRISTIAN COUNTRY.
janice dalton, sevenoaks kent
Throughout this article I kept referring back to the date- surely it can't be April 1st yet, can it? If the MCB are serious, then we MUST refuse these outrageous demands. Bad enough that they feel they have a right to impose these conditions on those who share their faith, but this is yet another step towards their goal of abolishing our hard-won freedoms and creating a Muslim state.
Kathy Maidment, Chorley Lancashire
It seems that the minority groups and the PC brigade are trying to bring down a British institution which has lasted centuries. If they want to carry on with their own ways then keep it to the home and do not try and force it onto the mainstream.
kevin Barnard, Hull, UK
This has or is going too far now! As some have already said this is a Christian Country, the main religion of this country is Christian. They have chose to live in our Country, so they should learn to live with our Laws
G. S. , Poole
If the government does not reject this "demand" in the strongest possible way it will gift countless votes to the BNP.
As the only way to voice opinion I would have to consider this myself.
God forbid.
peter murphy, United Kingdom
The Muslims must accept that 'When in Rome, we must do as the Romans.' They are free to impose their customs in their country of origin, and the country that the Muslim faiths began in and they should feel free to that in those countrys. But this country has never imposed such dreadful laws upon its people and therefore, I would fight such horrific changes to our culture to my last and dying breath.
We see the horrendous suffering that goes on in Muslim countrys because of their belief system and oppression of their women and weaker members. We cannot allow such superstitious beliefs to oppress a free nation such as the United Kingdom.
Julie, Leicester
I do not really care who wants these favours, or for what reason.
What I wish to know is why the Government in a so called, "democracy" is even considering these "requests", from a group that, according to their figures are only 4% of the population?
Since when, in a "democrcy" did 96% of the people have to bend over forewards for the 4% minority?
Ragnar Vagmornasson, Berlin. Prussia
Dear Sir
The main problem as I see it is that the BNP could 'cash in' on the unrest that this could create. As in the film 'V for vendeta'
Best regards

Many Muslims came here as 'refugees' from Afghanistan to escape the oppressive Taliban, now courtesy of this ridiculous government the same culture is being encouraged!
Jacky, Grimsby UK
I was married to a Muslim and a more miserable existence I couldn't beat. If these rules are brought into our English schools I think all non-muslims should stop going to school until common sense is restored. This is a Christian country and if muslims don't like our way of life then they should go and live in a muslim country.
Heather Oakes, Nottingham
why on earth are we still so naive when it comes to these people, weve let them into our country gave them homes, give them money! WHY?

98% of crimes in this country are caused by these people not just a worry for the individual but now a worry for thousands of innocent people!!!!! This should be where we draw the line if they want Taliban style schools Go Back to a Taliban Country!
laura, bromley uk
I think that discussion and debate with the muslim community it all part of creating a more tolerent, multicuteral society. I applaud the efforts the Muslim Council for Britain have made in fostering debate.
John, Ipswich
The UK will be an Islamic state within 50 YEARS!
Gary, Barcelona, Spain
Last time I checked I was living in England which is a Christian country. Integration means respect for the culture you chose to live in, not demanding that they change to your ways. Besides why should all children learn Islamic rules but Islamic children not the other rules, all should learn about each others religion, thereby creating a better understanding. People who want to be taught Taliban style should go to a country where the Taliban rules. Things like this just create a lot of resentment and promote organizations like the BNP, while they are the view of a small minority and most probably even offensive to a lot of Muslims.
Anna, London
Come on, they're just having a laugh, aren't they? Good old British sense of humour, part of the integration process just like the coal bags the women put over their heads.
Ian, Maidstone, England
THIS IS OUTRAGIOUS! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. SOMEBODY SHOULD SORT THIS LOT OUT AND QUICK. THE MUSLIMS ARE SUCCEEDING IN DIVIDING SOCIETY AND FOR THAT REASON SHOULD CONFORM WITH THE REST OR GO!
chris, manchester uk
Has this country gone to pot? Where is the so called 'Integration' into society that the MCB keep talking about?
Instead they are looking to set out Taliban style schooling in our schools where parents are probably quite happily moving on with our society.
I think it is a disgrace and a slur on us that we can even allow these sort of demands from a so called Council, who want us to be more like them!
Most moderate Muslims are fine with society as a whole, even though people struggle, and they have hope. The MCB promotes the opposite.
As far as i am concerned, they should be expelled or sent packing.
Jonathon Smyth, UK
The sheer number of areas where special practice has to be adopted for Muslim pupils makes these guidelines administratively impractical unless all pupils follow the same rules e.g. no sex education, no dance lessons, no drawing human beings, all boys being allowed to grow beards. Perhaps the MCB hopes non-Muslim pupils may demand what they see as privileges afforded to Muslim pupils or by some process of suggestibility, seek to imitate them. It should be seen as an attempt to Islamicise British society, little by little, and be dismissed, with a request for them them re-submit the absolute bare minimum of requirements, with the emphasis on minimum.
jim edwards, Cwmbran, UK
I think this report going to cause divisions between other faiths. What happened to everyone being equal? Religion is a state of mind, a belief not a uniform. What if all religions started saying they want schools run to meet their needs? Would we close down all schools and open a Muslim School, A sikh School, a Christian School. We live in a multicultural country, where we should expect everyone and learn about other faiths. You cannot change a person's beliefs but should children not be given the Opportunity to make their own decisions??
Manjit, England
I am speechless. Who the hell do they think they are? If they don't like our schools, then they can always emigrate to, say, Saudi Arabia, where I'm sure they'll find the education more to their liking.
Gabrielle, London
I AM SICK TO DEATH OF THIS PARTICULAR RELIGIOUS GROUP ATTEMPTING TO DICTATE TO US HOW OUR INSTITUTIONS AND WAY OF LIFE SHOULD BE RUN.
ALL WE GET FROM THEM ARE DEMANDS, DEMANDS, DEMANDS... AND ALL WE GET FROM OUR MILKSOP POLITICIANS IS CONCESSION AFTER CONCESSION AFTER CONCESSION.
IF OUR WAY OF LIFE IS NOT SUITED TO THEM, THEN GET OUT AND, PREFERABLY, TAKE OUR POLITICIANS WITH THEM.
HOW MUCH MORE DO WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH!!!
nico, west sussex
The Britsh public should DEMAND that the Muslim council of Britain ( sic ) should be broken up now !
tony, flackwell heath, england
The Muslims have already taken over many C of E schools my children attended a local C of E school out numbered by Muslims being educated about the Islamic festivals while Muslim children were excused from Christian activities but surprise our Christmas parties were popular.
As far as I am concerned they are welcome but not at our expense if they want to live under Sharia law and be educated in Muslim schools they have that right, in any suitable Muslim country that will accept them.
Talk about cake and eat it they have been welcomed into a Christian country and now wish to impose their religious beliefs on UK citizens whilst forming ghettos and refusing to integrate into a society in which they chose to live.
They welcome the benefits offered by the United Kingdom and the standard of living if they wish to return to their roots and follow their strongly held religious beliefs and laws we should make every effort to assist them.
The choice must be their own stay and integrate or go to an Islamic state who's religion does not call for equality but for domination and rules by fear not of hell and damnation but the fear of violence.
This is England a Christian country with its own history and culture if our culture is not acceptable to you I politely suggest that you make a choice stay and abide by English law or go freely any time you wish!

What on earth is happening to this country? Every day it seems this government goes out of its way to punish the average law abiding citizen in some way or another.
This is the latest attempt to erode our identity by pandering to the whims of a few selfish individuals. Yes I use the word selfish because that is what it is. What about what the none Muslim children in these schools want? Can you imagine for a second that these kind of changes would be entertained by any other nation in the world?
Of course not. And for good reason. If you truly wish to be accepted into a new country then you must first and foremost sign up to the rules and cultures of that country, with your own personal beliefs kept for yourself in private.
The trouble is the UK has lost touch with its identity and is now a mish mash of different schools of thought all wanting things done their own way. Does it remind you of anywhere else at the moment? Iraq perhaps? Think about it.
Other nations are starting to catch on to this and getting tough on the extremist elements within these communities. That is why they are coming here. Its free and easy.
I have nothing against the Muslim faith or any other faith. The majority of these people just want to get on like everyone else and are being punished by this government like everyone else by the government introducing in all their wisdom, gems of what THEY think is helping. Newsflash Mr Blair you are making things worse.
If this government entertains this idiotic suggestion in our schools then this is just another nail in the coffin of 'Great' Britain (RIP).
Bottom line....if you don't like the way things are done in this country regarding education or anything else for that matter, then live somewhere else, simple.
Kenneth Bamford, Salisbury, UK
This is so difficult to believe. Why can the Council not see how damaging their diktats are to the majority of law abiding Muslims who are happy to be living in the UK (or at least no more unhappy than the rest of us under this ridiculous Labour 'Government'). This is a christian country - and yes the c is lower case deliberately - and with the exception of Northern Ireland, have had little problems with inter-faith conflict for hundreds of years. If 'The Troubles' taught us only one thing, it should be that education based on faith is dangerously divisive and perpetuates fear, seperatism and misunderstanding. The only strong society is an integrated one. Specific faith education should be the responsibility of families not schools and it should be done outside school hours. This applies to all faith schools, not just Muslim ones.
E Morrison, Stockport
Little by little, and not even stealthily but brazenly, the more extreme elements amongst the Muslim community are wittling away at the British way of life.
D. Jones, KIdsgrove. England.
SO I AM EXPECTED TO PAY TAXES AND COUNCIL TAX TO EDUCATE CHILDREN IN A WAY OF LIFE THAT IS TOTALLY ALIEN TO THE TEACHINGS OF THE HOST NATION !
GET REAL , AND THINK OF THIS PROPOSAL IN REVERSE IN AN ISLAMIC STATE. TIME TO SAY NO! NO! NO!,AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT GO BACK TO YOUR OWN TALEBAN TAUGHT COUNTRY.
T.S.MERSEYSIDE
TIM SMITH, ST.HELENS,ENGLAND
How ridiculous, if it was the 1st of April I would think it was a April Fool prank, Who do these people at the MCB think they are, they have been welcomes into this country as immigrants and now they have the cheek to try to tell us how to run our country.
Although I am not racist, I feel that if these idiots want to live in an islamic state then they should move away from Christian Britain.
Colin Jackson, Merseyside, UK
How dare these people dictate what happens in our schools - this will create a greater divide between religions. This nonsense has gone far enough and as for a government minister being involved - that's going to give some credance to their idiotic demands. I can just see the reaction if Christians tried this in an Islamic country - right! so let this country have the guts to do it to them. If they don't like it there's a perfectly good alternative.
Peter Hindley, Inverness
Minority group? Have I blinked and missed something? Muslims are not in the minority, it's the English that are the minority now.
Muslims can say whatever they want about what is taught in schools as long as it's in a Muslim country, which this isn't.
Yet another example of Muslims doing their best to stir up racial tension by trying to change OUR country.
Billy, London
I say that we treat the Muslims as we are treated in predominately Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, without going so far. For a start, in Saudi, any discussion on Christianity such as here would not be allowed, even carrying a Bible, the book most feared by Muslims, in public is ot allowed.
B J Deller, Marbella Spain
Hey Britain, you voted the Blair Goveernment into power, now suffer!
James, Blanqefort, France
Its about time this ...what was once a great country, regained its standards and banned all but christian teachings. Does the Church of England stand for nothing anymore, this country is predominatly of the Christian faith, other faiths are guest religions ...and only none terrorist (peace abiding) religions too. I am sick to the back teeth of hearing about muslims this, and muslims that. Every day we hear of another atrocity committed in the name of Islam. No way should they even have a say in how the schools of this country are run ...LEAVE NOW IF YOU CAN'T BE COMPATIBLE WITH OUR CHRISTIAN BELIEFS, and go to a country what is more compatible with your way of Islamic thinking!!!
pentest, Hyde UK
No doubt the present Government will cave in to the PC brigade. I can't believe that a minority group have the cheek to sugget to their host country how British schools should be run. These people live and work in the United Kingdom. Therefore they should accept the traditions of the country and how British schools are run, and learn to live with that fact. If, for some reason they are not happy with the way things are run in Great Britain, then maybe they should seek an alternative country to live.
Liz, Germany
No they shouldn't and quite frankly I am getting sick and tired of this minority telling us what they want. The time has come to tell them what we expect. If you don't like our country, its traditions and its laws GO HOME we dont want you and we have had enough of your constant bleating for more of everything islamic. We are a tolerant nation but if you keep demanding you will find that, that tolerance can lead to something else. This is not an Islamic country if you want Islam and an islamic lifestyle return to a country where you may practice your religion and views to your hearts content.
Will the Government cave in on this issue highly likely although I can't see how Blair will justify capitulation to 1.5 million muslims and at the same time tell 1.79million Motorists to get lost.
