Good article... When talking about Phil's "genetics," I wish the author had elaborated more on the concept of sheer size and mass versus shape and aesthetics.

Its actually refreshing to see a major news publication like the Seattle Times actually praise a bodybuilder for his hard work instead of making it another anti-steroid rant.
Agreed.  Not only that, but it appears that the author actually took the time to learn a little about the sport and sounds like an informed journalist.

Congrats for the positive coverage, Phil.

Yes, congrats both to Phil, and the journalist who wrote the article, for not being the usual media jackass when it comes to bbing.

"A week from now, the creature that Phillip Heath has been building will lurch into its final stages. At his peak, he's a freakishly formed, real-life Hulk with a body like freshly skinned meat, overripe bulbs of powerfully defined muscles and veins stuffed into a thin, caramel-toned outer layer."

"What makes Phil so unusual," says Dan Solomon, founder and host of a syndicated radio talk show on bodybuilding, "is that he is genetically blessed with such an incredible physique that he has managed to do in one year what most people take 10 to 15 years to accomplish."

hahahah DAN is referring to Mr. NPC BOB CHIC hahahahahaha

Groulx: Do you compete?

Heath's friend: No, he's a basketball player.

Groulx: You have a lot of potential.

Heath: Dont I have to take steroids to be a bodybuilder

Groulx: Well, duh

Heath: OK im in

Friend:  what about GH, IGf-1, insulin, and diuretics?

Groulx:  yeah, those too.

Heath:  what about this thing called synthol?

Groulx:  yep

Heath:  ok, where do i sign up?

It's great to see a positive piece on a bodybuilder for once. That read pretty much like any personal interest story on an athlete. It can only be good for the sport. (And something tells me good for Phil Heath heading into the Arnold)

Why are you so consumed with thoughts of homosexuality?  :-\
Do you really think I give two shits enough about you to "follow you around"? I'll do your homework assignment when you come out of the closet and admit you are a gay man. It's ok, I won't judge you.
Oh yeah... ;)

The irony here is that "korky" is traditionally spelled "Corky".

That you are in "colossal" denial that people can get legitimate designer steroids legally any day of the week, and pose VERY LITTLE health risks if used responsibly...
