MD April 2007 issue: Trey Brewer on the cover
« on: February 28, 2007, 06:49:43 AM »
I'll Save Squadfather the trouble

So I go to the mall yesturday and see the new MD with Trey Brewer on the cover

so I'm flipping through it and I see something along these lines in the Brewer article

"I don't max out anymore but if I did I could probably squat 850lbs and bench 650" or something along those lines-numbers might not be right on cause I only glanced at it....I then proceeded to put the magazine down mumbled "oh, brother" and left walden books shaking my head.

If anyone has the mag feel free to correct the poundages I listed if they are wrong but lets just say it was beyone moronic.  I don't doubt he's a strong guy but c'mon now.

Maybe he meant if he maxed out his drug usage, I mean look at the guy he is in his early 20's but looks to be in his late 30's.

Trey Brewer signed with BSN. The guy is big, 270 pounds at 21 years old, and he won the 2006 NPC Excalibur here in my home town of Los Angeles.

Great buzz on Trey Brewer, but lets see what happens when he competes in the NPC USAs or NPC Nationals. A lot of pressure on him to be the best.

Still, it is nice to see him get a cover!!!!

MD should decide if they're trying to sell to 16-year old kids who believe that BS, or grown folks who want the truth and more steroid info.

when they try to be both, they teach 16 year olds to use drugs, and they insult intelligence of people in their 20s who know that brewski isn't stronger than Ronnie Coleman.

I don't have a problem with him or what he does for a living, if he chooses to be a BB and do what's required than that's fine by me.  I have no beef with him.

The poundages claimed just seemed a little off the charts to me, that's why I gave it the old 'oh, brother".  Maybe he can do thos lifts.....i'm not an expert but a 650lbs bench seems a little nuts to me and a 850lbs squat is beyond my comprehension so......who knows, this is the first time I flat out did not believe a poundage claim in along time.
