I've always become at least conversational in the language of whatever country I'm living in. When ever I moved away I almost always forgot the language though. so far I've learned and forgotten Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. I learned German in the two years I was in England as our school competed in Germany often, and I still manage to converse with the exchange students at my school. I'll tell you though, the most difficult language to learn has been this damn backwoods Arkansas-twang crap.

You should realize that outside of the middle east, most people don't have a problem with us. Hell, most of the middle east doesn't. It's a select few that have the problem, and these people are pretty much the outcasts of Arab society and aren't respected in their own cultures to begin with.

You buy a finnis phones, guns, car tyres, IT technology, even your space program uses finnish electronics, and when you are old enough, you maybe drive a car which is made in finland. Only thing which you really innovate better than anybody, is those wars around a globe where your government make you go to give your life for your country, and if enemy doesn't kill you, you own groups will.
