HOBART, Ind. (AP) - Kevin Russell found out it's not easy trying to cash a check from God. The 21-year-old man was arrested Monday after he tried to cash a check for $50,000 at the Chase Bank in Hobart that was signed "King Savior, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Servant," Hobart police Detective Jeff White said.

Sounds to me like the guy has mental issues and needs help.  A sane person actually trying to get away with "check fraud" would not do something like that.

When I worked at Bell Labs, a cleaning lady was busted for writing a check out of the facility President's checkbook (He apparently had left it in his desk).

She wrote the check straight to herself... Name and everything.

That HAS to be just as stupid.

Yo Holmes, you're in LA right? I lived in Marina Del Rey, right by Beach Cafe (fuck I miss that place) and would see random acts of insanity on a daily basis --- I remember this guy walking in a store naked and trying to use monopoly money to buy beer -- argued with the store clerk until he called the cops -- even then the guy was screaming that he was robbed...........hahaha true story
