I disagree. After the 06 Olympia, he was basically Gustavo Badell. An unusually talented spic. People might expect to see him in top 6 for a few years, but nothing more.

Imagine if Badell had built on top of that accomplishment by winning the fucking Arnold. And then the only thing standing between him and the title is a one-time-only champion whose physique doesn't truly inspire anyone.

That's the position Martinez is in now.

I think he'll be "robbed" in 07. Then Cutler will decline to compete in 08 - when Martinez becomes the next Mr. Olympia.

I'm sure Ronnie is plenty damned motivated.

And it would be dramatically [in the sense of "in the context of the dramatic arts"] satisfying to have the aging old retard pull out a final Rocky VI-esque surge to the all-time record.

But the biomechanical loansharks have arrived to collect their overdue payments. And the judging trends seem to reflect an understanding by the IFBB that they need to have their placings seem a little more legitimate. So Ronnie would have to genuinely be the best on stage.

I think it's 10:1 odds.
