« on: March 06, 2007, 12:01:43 AM »
Im having surgery on April 5th and Ive been running Clen for two weeks now so Im going to go off in the next couple days.  Ive also been using T3 for a few weeks as well.  How long before the surgery (with general anesthesia) should I get off of the clen and T3.  Im also using some test e.

IMO - I'd be off everything for a couple weeks.

I would also let the doctor know what you've been taking.

id stop everything now! that gives you a month...should be fine. i agree with Rimmy on this one...tell your doc what you were taking and when you stopped. tight ass or not, that info is important. you dont want to fuck around with surgeries....its just not worth it.

what surgery are you having if you dont mind me asking?

Its just a foot surgery.  This will be my third foot surgery in 2.5 years.  It affects my leg workouts pretty bad, but thats life right.

some people on here ARE doctors...

some people like to get various feedback from different people...

some people have had similar experiences...

some people are scared to be honest with their doctors for various reasons...

thats kinda the whole point on the internet forum thing

So what works for  you or another person. just might kill a different person.

to be scared to tell your doctors is insane, why would anyone risk there life by not being straight up with the one person that can save it? It is beyond me?

when i had shoulder surgery, i had to write out a list of every drug i had taken in the last year, and various steroids were on the list and the doctor gave me about a 2 hour lecture and then he tried referring me to a drug counselor.  stupid!  but, you should tell them because there are all sorts of weird things that can happen when you have surgery and i figure if you are going to have that done, telling them everything might decrease the chance of something bad going wrong.

I ALLWAYS ask if they can do it local. I tell 'em I'll be tool boy if they givE a discount.
No, seriously. Local is less risk if they can.
They can do different things.

That said- Drs dont care for Clen. Been a fair # of poisioning/ overdose issues over the years I was
told by a toxicoligist.  Best to be upfront. YOU ARE GOING UNDER- WANT TO WAKE UP? ::)

Exactly, why risk possible complications from drug interactions.. be safe.

When I had a knee done awhile back. My primary Dr (ignorant) got all bent about the Test.
But-The  surgeon said he had No Concern except for some orals.
The Anesthesiologist was also unconcerned about a HRT level of Enanthate.200mg wk.

Now a Gram would be another story. These guys dont comprehend that.

Hey Birdman, i had reconstructive shoulder surgery a little over two years ago now and i'd have to agree with everyone on this thread and say 1) get off the stuff sooner than later & 2) let your doctor know.  He's probably not your primary care physician anyways is he?  I was referred to an Orthopedic Surgeon and decided to be very upfront about what i was taking after i read the literature on the anesthesia.  Better safe than sorry, ya know?  and if you can't trust your doc, you're better off finiding another one (although that can be easier said than done sometimes).  Hope everything works out for you on the third time around.

Anesthesiologist and the ortho guy are not all ignorant & judgmental in my experience.
These are the guys that work with the Very heavy duty drugs.
