its all about the exertion threshold meaning out of breath feeling like you are going to throw up not necessarly muscular failure as in eccentric failure
you can only reach it by training different bodparts in succession with the bodypart being fresh
for instance if you did legs you would get tired muscularly and out of breath ect. eventually u lower the weight and dont really get out of breath because they are depleted of CALORIES
lets say chins and dips.. you can hit these like crazy and eventually you gass out and feel like throwing up or you cant even complete enough of the exercise to really be out of breath....
this is when you start on fresh muscles like standing heavy curls with standing presses...............do this till you reach muscular or your exertion threshold (also take in more calories here) ( the gut is digesting calories very rapidly)
now start on more fresh muscle groups
not really a super long workout but you can push yourself to the max with massive calories and supersets in my fashion
i guess this is like reaching my vo2 max after every super set of a muscle combo
vo2 max cant be reached if the weight is too light, too much rest, or the muscle is too weakend from FATIGUE TO DO ANYMORE WORK

vo2 max is maximal oxygen uptake so therefore there is no harder way to workout than this thus working harder has always worked better than working easier , that goes for anything in life
working harder is like talking to 35 different hoes in one night getting 8-12 numbers WONDERFUL
working less is like talking to 20 hoes and only getting 4-8 numbers NOT AS GOOD AS WONDERFUL
