What would you guys think.....

About a College bodybuilding league where colleges could send bodybuilders to represent their university and see which one wins. Honestly, if gymnastics or some of these other small sports can make it into the universities agenda why not bodybuilding?

Anything competitive can be considered a sport.

Hahah i knew someone would say that but i didn't know what to call it. Honestly if they can get a fucking bass fishing collegiate sports league why not bodybuilding? I am seriously thinking about submitting the idea to my student atheletic rep.

I don't condider Poker a sport too.

Bodybuilding is more like.... and art. well no it isn't anymore

NCAA actually enforces their rules. Testing is random and would be hard to avoid. You get one warning.

The difference is with football, a lot of people know that they use, but they try to hide it away and portray the players as pure athletes.

Bodybuilding is viewed by the public as 'all drugs' which unfortunately is 99% true.

It doesn't matter. It is still a feasible idea. I think it would be enormously popular and would bring more people into the sport and make it more mainstream.

When you think about it there wouldn't be much for the universities to lose and all for them to gain. Seriously, what are they going to pay for? Judges, trunks, and maybe a training coach... you don't even have to have coaches. The bass fishing league doesnt. They have more to gain then they do to lose.

And you've gotta look at it from the parents point of view.

Play football, be good, earn a multi-million dollar contract in the NFL.
Do gymnastics, be good, represent your country in the Olympics and win medals.
Be a bodybuilder, be good, pose for middle-aged men to cover the cost of your 'roids, knock 20 years off your life  or die of organ failure.

"Son, you're gonna play ball!!!"

Play football and end up walking the rest of your life with a limp and broken dreams talking about the good old days when you used to play while you mop up the puke in the highschool bathroom. Either way, its a chance for people to make money, get scholarships, and do something with their life.
