i stuck it out with mega mass 4000-& i'm up to 190lbs now!

i know the stuff has alot of sugar, but i stuck it out using this stuff, and i put on  few lbs in the last 2 weeks. i look and feel pretty good! i can actually see a difference in my upper body size now.

How is it junk, especially if he's happy with the results he has seen thus far?

I used Super Mega Mass 2000/Giant Mega Mass 4000 for the better part of 3 years when I was in college. And, it worked well for me. Is it the best weight gainer? Not anymore, as there are better products.

But back in the day, it was among the best on the market. In fact, the only gainer that I can say was better was the one to which I eventually switched, N-Large (and later, N-Large2).

If G.R.H. is an ectomorph, in his teens or early 20s, he needs all the calories he can get to grow. And Mega Mass is as good a product as any to help him get it.

You can also get creatine from eating steak. Does that mean you down an entire cow, every time you load up on creatine?

Apparently, you didn't quite comprehend my point. I used Mega Mass for nearly 3 years in college, IN ADDITION TO (not in place of) regular food. And, I got great results from it.

Your "loaded with sugar" comment also shows you didn't get the point. Yes, it's high in carbs; Mega Mass was developed in the era, when carbs were king. But, if G.R.H. is an ectomorph (the only type of people who should be using weight gainers in the first place), the extra calories actually help him, as he himself has testified.

I use xtreme size up by MET-RX....contains 54 grams carbs,75-80 grams carbs, 3g creatine, 3g's glutamine.

I  mix it with water and its pretty thick, u only have one of those a day!!

If I were still using weight gainers and taking that particular product, I'd consume three serving per day: One between breakfast and lunch, the second between lunch and dinner, and the third post-workout (as I did when using Mega Mass or N-Large).

When i wrote it b4 i meant to say it had 54 grams protein.

u would consume 3 of those a day??

Im gna get weider muscle builder to take with breakfast and lunch aswell (getting that b/c of cost).

Yeh id take it even if i didnt have the creatine, that was just a wee bonus.

Not sure i could afford 3 a day tho.£30 for a tubb, which is supposed to have 16 servings (tho i think im gna get more). Thats on a 1 a day basis.

If G.R.H or Davie were putting on nothing but bodyfat, they wouldn't be posting here that they were pleased with the results they got.

G.R.H., in particular is happy that he's up to 190 lbs and, per his words, he looks and feels pretty good. I doubt he would have said that, if he were putting on "unwanted weight".

ok dudes...THE TRUTH! my diet does suck pretty much. i have used both n-large and other weight gainers. ( i just thought i'd give mega mass 4000 a try again.) i used it a long time ago, when i was just a puny lightweight. ( i'm nearly 39 years old, and i'm just 5'6).  i am pleased with my upper body size, but i do not train my mid-section that much, nor do i train my legs. ( i must admit...i'm no bodybuilder, but i like to lift on and off.) when i first started working out, i weighed only about 125lbs.  that was a good almost 20 years ago. i have always been short, but i look kinda stocky now, and i have bulked up over a period of time. i'd post a pic, but i have no scanner to do it.  :(

see...that was my posint...if your diet is on target you dont need those sugar laced shakes.......if you need the extra cals....have some meat, and a banana pb and toast snack...or 5 of them.....save money and dump the shakes,.......get your ass onm the cardio, friggn hit your legs hard and post up what you eat and we can help.....the shakes with do nada without proper training a damn good diet.....no more sugar crap.......esp. natural. :-[

We got your point. Mine was that, as a former Mega Mass user, I can attest that it's a good product (though there are better ones available).

The shakes were IN ADDITION TO the regular food I ate. They especially came in handy during long study sessions, classes, and other scenarios, where it was impossible or impractical to have solid food available. Consuming 5000-6000 calories per day is MUCH, MUCH easier, when half of those come in liquid form.
