I don't see the big fuss about Deal or No Deal, randomly picking boxes, always getting offered much less than the expected value of what is left in the boxes, and people talk about strategy and playing the game well

I dont know, I thought statistically he should have played one more round, he had way more low numbers left and the odds are he would have pulled a low one, if he had the offer would have doubled. He played it way too safe.

ANd considering half will go to taxes I thought it was a bad move.

Horrible promotion for bodybuilding too. The guy was broke and said he doesn't even own a mattess. Hhahahahaha, I wonder how Chick and the IFBB feel when they hear a guy with a build like that can't even make a living off it.

Yes, he played it safe, but if you were very low on money, and you were offered $81,000 - it is a lot of money to start building up your bank account again, and he is married, looking for a future. Yes, if he stayed one more round, it would of been more money, but I have seen a number of episodes that it went the other way, and they lost half the money. He played in safe, and received $81,000. That isn't bad at all.

So, if you were low on money, and had a 50% chance to make more and a 50% chance to make less, what would you do.

Granted it's not a million, but we have to consider the players' goal. If his goal was to win safe money as soon as possible, then use it to meet his goals, then he done very good!

If his goal was to ride the rollercoaster up and down, maybe earn a million, maybe earn $5, he should have played further. I see so many people - on that show and on 1 vs 100 - take stupid risks because they're caught up in the moment, then they wake up and see they passed on a sure thing for a statistical jump at a riskier, bigger thing.

Plus, I think his wife told him to take it, right? I know if I passed up 81k and ended up losing, my wife would be in my ear for the next 50 years lol...

well if they dont take out taxes then yea it was a good. But it wasnt' a 50 50 chance. He had way more low numbers left, so the odds were in his favor, I think.

He was not in contest shape (why would anyone be in contest shape when they are not approaching a contest?) but he was huge! And he was not a shorty; I’d guess he was 6’1” at least and maybe as tall as 6’3”. His arms were HUGE.

He was wearing a kilt and tall socks so you couldn’t see his quads. His calves were unimpressive.

He easily had the size to compete. Too many fans of body building are too used to seeing guys in magazines or on the contest stage; they only look like that for a few days at a time. It’s called dialing in your condidition for a show. The guy on Deal or No Deal is what bodybuilders typically look like.
