No return on the investment....there isn't enough fan support to watch the Masters. Purse and overhead isn't cheap, piggybacking it on another show will only result in LESS profit to be made by the promoter..if not a loss.

really? even if they have it at olympia weekend? theres always people swarming in the Expo. Make tickets half of what it costs for the Mr.o, and that should be profitable right? i mean the stage is already set-up and the seats are all arranged...the purse can be 10,000 first place at the very least...there's gotta be a way to make it work without going belly-up

That can't be the reason.  The Master Olympia should happen during the Olympia weekend.  Only seems fitting.  But maybe no one over there has figured that out.  How many stages are setup in the Expo.  Why not do it there.  NO extra money to do that.  Cost of trophies and prize money can easily be made up for in ticket sales.  Even it broke even it would give the fans more to see.  Are you sure their isn't some other reason, cause the one you are giving is very very weak.

Bob's right.  They wouldn't have even done one last year, but the powers-that-be probably felt they had to reward their little lap-dog for services rendered before he retired, so they created a one-time show.

The Arnold is a bigger and more profitable show than the O. Therefore, perhaps if the Masters O was placed with the Arnold and made to intermingle in the Finals (perhaps during the contest - during a break itself) than they would get a better bang for their buck. I am sure this can be worked out.

They cancelled it this year because Bob wouldn't be able to compete with the birth of his daughter.  They will give him a year to get back on track and win the Bob masters sponsored by Bob and emcee'd by Bob and hosted by Bob and play by play by Bob and judged by Bob,Bob and Bob.

They aren't going to get anyone to come to the Arnold by including a Master's O than wouldn't have come anyway.

As a result, including it would be adding an expense that produces no revenue.
