> A two-month undercover police investigation at a Pickering fitness
> club has led to multiple charges against a fitness nutritionist and
> the recovery of over $50,000 in cocaine, GHB, steroids and other
> drugs.

> In February 2007, Durham Regional Police received information about
> some illegal steroids being sold to patrons of a Pickering fitness
> club. The Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) began an investigation and
> discovered other substances were also being offered for sale,
> including gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), commonly referred to as the
> "date-rape drug" and cocaine.

> The DEU was assisted by members of the Biker Enforcement Unit,
> Criminal Intelligence Branch, Tactical Support Unit and the uniform
> branch when three search warrants were executed in Bowmanville and
> Ajax. The first warrant was executed at Aspen Springs Drive in
> Bowmanville where investigators arrested a male and seized cocaine,
> ecstasy, Oxycodone, steroids, weigh scales and cash.

> Crime; Production of a Controlled Substance (Steroids); Possession of

> investigators arrested a male and seized weigh scales, steroids and
> cash.

> Jason PINEAU, age 22 of Sivyer Crescent in Ajax is charged with:

> The third warrant was for Wicks Drive in Ajax where investigators
> arrested a male and seized steroids, GHB, percocet, Oxycodone and
> cash.

> Robert Scott MILNE, age 32 of Wicks Drive in Ajax, is charged with:
> Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (X12); Possession for the
> Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance; Possession of
> Proceeds of Crime (X3); Extortion and Conspiracy to Commit the
> Indictable Offence of Extortion. He was working as a nutritionist at a

> Patrick YOSHIDA, age 22 of Wicks Drive in Ajax and Austen DRYSDALE,
> age 20 of Cedarview Drive in West Hill were also charged in this
> investigation.

> DRYSDALE is charged with: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and
> Breach of an Officer-In-Charge Undertaking

> Investigators seized drugs with a street value of $91,200 and $4,700
> in cash. (211 grams of cocaine worth $21,000; 19.25 litres of gamma
> hydroxybutanoic acid (GHB) worth $8,000; Steroids Pills & Vials worth
> $30,000; 56 tablets of Ecstasy worth $600; 38 tablets of Oxycodone
> worth $600; 212 tablets of Percocet worth $2,200 and $4,700 in cash).
