kh300 - you make good points.  I don't know for sure that making drugs legal would be the best system, but I am fairly confident it would be.  A lot of the problems with drugs take place because they are illegal, and that makes prohibition so ironic.  There are pros and cons.

My house got broken into in February and the kid who did it said he was high on a lot of drugs, and not surprisingly, looking to steal stuff to pawn for money to buy drugs.  That being said, I don't like thinking with my emotions and taking one example and formulating conclusions based on it.

The problem is, people who want drugs will get them whether they are legal or not.  :-\  The best solution I can think of is education.

its really a no win situation.. you make a huge drug bust and guess where that leads you -to an even bigger drug bust.
at the same time, how do you legalize an endless cycle, that takes over your life and causes damage to the community and your family?

ive arrested very few people for possesion. unless they have a background its not worth fucking up there record.. guys that do get arrested for possesion go to rehab.. its the dealers that go to jail. we know people are going to use no matter what. if you wanna shoot up and crawl into a corner for a few days-who cares. its the guys that are forced to cause crime for their habits that shouldnt be on the street. and even if drugs were legal their would still be a black market.

the biggest reason why drugs will never be legal. the drugs dont come from the u.s.

Yes, i agree, it is really a no win situation.  Maybe it is just about running with socio-cliches of 'regulation' and 'education'.  Other than that i dont have an answer.

He's a wall.. 6"3-6"4 about 330lbs. of lean ripped muscle.. can't miss him.

I've partied with him a bunch of times, good guy.

And that is the shame and problem with todays bodybuilding.  You can party like a drug addict and , because of the gh, insulin and enormous amount of steroids still develop big hard muscles.

Wow, this is such a tough game today.  Bodybuilders are definitly athletes...please!!

The one thing drugs doesn't give you is a GOOD physique and that is what this guy never had.

That is why the conversation Adonis had with Lee haney is worth so much more than these "so called " experts today...when Lee won you had to know about training and nutrition...today you do NOT.

True, although no amount of drugs will give you good symmetry/balance.. some people just have messed up looking bodyparts.. ie. Kovacs, J. Freeman, etc. etc.

Some governments (let's call them "governments run by sane people") realize that drug prohibition damages more lives than it saves and only really enforce these archaic laws to begin with because of pressure by pieces of shit in power in other countries.  ::)

Scott will be sentenced for two years and serve four months in a minimum security prison.  In the good old US of A he would serve 20 while the neighborhood rapist serves four months!!  You have to love a "justice system" based on money and not justice.  8)  :-\

One good thing about Canada is that we don't spend billions of wasted dollars a year creating the world's largest population of victimless criminals in jail.

I hope this info about Milne's sentence is accurate.  It would be a shame to see his career ruined because of a conviction.  Vic Martinez managed a short sentence & competed successfully after that.

This is a good talk about drugs being legal / illegal.  I would like to know why the gov't want's to keep them illegal and what they get outta of locking people up for these so called crimes lol.  Cause it's not like making drugs illegal stops ppl from using them or getting them.

I know I'm bumping an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one.  Does anyone know what happened to this guy?  He probably has weekly drug testing due to the charges, so I'm wondering how much size he lost?

Gotta love when people who try to cheat the system get nailed.
It's all fun and games, until you're serving years of your life in jail.
I have more respect for straight up coke/heroin dealers.  At least they don't portray something they're not.
Typical guido juicer who does X and coke on weekends.
When will people realize, drugs are drugs...end of story.

I stand corrected my good man..Thanks for pointing out my math error.

Well my point being is that the actual street value of these drugs is highly valued by the reporters/police

ill go ahead and disagree with ya.. ive spent many years as a cop in high crime/drug areas.. and ive seen the effects that drugs have on people.. when you get hooked, kiss your life goodbye. whatever your drug of choice is will run your life forever..drugs are highly, highly addictive. lets say you decide to start smoking crack, that feeling never goes away. would you want to go to work when you have the uncontrollable urge to get high? of course not

anybody thats ever met a drug addict knows how unproductive they are.. very few people have the ability to be a "weekend-party drug user".. people dont even have the willpower to stay off mcdonalds, let alone heroin.

where are the most drugs? where is the most crime? not a coincidence..drugs force people to do things they normally wouldnt. drugs ruin lives and take over neighborhoods. how about that guy in ny a few weeks ago that beat the shit out of that 100 year old lady to get 5$. take a wild guess what he needed money for..

if drugs were legal they would still be addictive..and they would be even more expensive. ever try to buy medicine without insurance.. insurance companys wont give you shit for rec drugs, and drug makers charge a shitload. so there would still be a black market. making trhem legal would only allow more and more people to get their hands on them.

Very well-reasoned post.

But, marijuana should be legal.  There's absolutely zero justification for it being classified the way that it is.

That always happens.  Typically the cops break the total drug cache down into the smallest possible unit the drug is ever sold at, then apply the highest price per unit ever seen in an area to arrive at a ridiculous value.  People who have have a clue about these things usually just laugh and shake their heads at the news stories while June and Ward Cleaver read the same stories and gasp in horror.
