Yes, but you can also use the momentum to "lift" the weight up, or bounce it, or cheat alot. All of this takes tension off the muscle, and anytime this happens it takes away from possible gains, no matter how heavy u go. This si why most people that train all the time, look the same year in, year out. I wonder how u look.?
