Besides, creating some sexual tension usually helps tremendously. Makes it more enjoyable for both sides. Doesn't mean you have to have sex straight away.

Much of what normal, healthy couples do would make him think she wasn't wifey material. And if she's not wife material having her as a gf is wasted time.

Believe it or not, there was one guy that actually dumped his fiancé the day of his wedding.
They'd been engaged forever, ...during which time he was constantly pressuring her for sex,
...but as a good little Italian girl, she was expected to remain a virgin til marriage.

The day of the wedding, he pressured her so bad, she finally agreed to a quickie before the ceremony. When he was done, that SOB dumped her right afterwards, called off the wedding and explained to all the family & friends gathered for the ceremony that she wasn't good enough to be his wife since she gave it up before marriage.    That's seriously messed up.
