he'll destroy Serra, he won't make the mistake of taking him lightly like GSP did.

yes i think he can... it all makes me think if the ufc is fixed though. i mean the hit that hurt gsp didn't look like much and if serra would lose where would he go. then you have the fact that hughes fighting serra would be a great fight because of what was on the ultimate fighter. i don't know just kind of makes you wonder.

Who really cared where Serra went?  Most wanted and expected GSP to win.  I saw the fight in person.. seeing the looks on everyones faces was priceless.

Serra could hurt Hughes striking, but I see Hughes clinching, taking him down and not extending, sitting up and grinding out a decision.

im, personally, giving serra every chance to win against hughes.

everyone thought GSP would destroy him, but we all know how that ended up

This is the first ufc fight that I wondered the same of.  I wanted GSP to lose but GSP looked a fraction of what he's capable of even if he didn't take Serra serious enough.  Not sure I buy it.  A lot of money to be made on betting with Serra and when I didn't see anything looking like GSP, well...

i agree. its all about the money. they built up a hatred between serra and hughes during TUF and now they are going to make alot of money off of that fight,,,then GSP will get to fight the winner between hughes and serra making it a huge payday.

He will not come close to wining again against BJ.  Not the way BJ is training now and his physical condition.  He ws 164 today and just unreal.  Training 3 times a day.  I pity Pulver.  And when he fights GSP or Matt again it won't go past the 1st, guaranteed.

why is it you think BJ is god-like and can not be beat? Hes been half assed for a while, hes not the guy he used to be. The BJ of 3-4 years ago was phenomenal and still lost to Jens, not to mention hes lost 3 out of his last 4 fights. Its a sad sight to behold but the BJ of old has gone, much like Vitor. I still think he could beat Jens, but he has to completely focus on his trainnig all the way. If you look at jens' record, win or lose his fights rarely go passed the first round so this should be a half decent fight

I don't think 28 is old.  And the BJ of today is light years better than when he fought Jens the first time.  I don't think BJ is godlike.  But if I am going to support anyone it will be my friend and someone I know.  I really don't now any other fighter.  I also see how serious BJ is training now.  Nothing like before.  And it will be hard for BJ to win by anything but submission or knock out.  You don't sue the President of the UFC and win and expect to get a win by decision.  All I know is even in the fights he has lost he beats the shit out of the other guy.  They look way worse than he does.  Except for the Hughes fight when BJ got his head lit up.  But even that he was beating the fuck out of Matt in the second and should have got him there but had two separated ribs and couldn't breathe.  So i will support my friend and I feel he will again become the World Champ.  One thing for sure his conditioning and body will NOT be anything but awesome for now on.

Big problem with BJ has been his motivation.  When motivated, he is near unbeatable in his class.  Two years ago, when he went on a tear, beating Gomi, Hughes, Bang, Rodrigo.  You talk about him losing 3 of 4 fights, but who has he lost to.  Machida by decision, the same Machida is undefeated, and who KOed Ace, TKOed Bonner, and outweighed BJ by 30 lbs.  He lost a split to GSP, and was KILLING Hughes prior to injuring his ribs.  Come on.......

i know who he has lost to, but a fired up BJ would have beaten those guys long before the final bell. He needs to pull his finger out and get the fire back. The way he KO'd Caol Uno was fantastic, and thats what i want to see from him. He ran in, knocked him out, then ran back out of the ring as if he had never lost his stride. That was magic
