http://ironscene.com/view_video.php?viewkey=3a9526b912c7e4e9066b&page=2&viewtype=&category=mvhis name is Dru Patrick, and his other lifts include a 210lb.db incline press for 3 reps, an 820 pound box squat, 535 pound incline barbell press, 275 pound db row for reps, 1150 pounds on the "power squat" machine, would you want to lift those type of weights if it meant looking like him, he appears to be around 5'9" and 300-315 pounds?
Dude, SquadFather, I know you're trying to pack on size and loose fat...stop worrying (dare I say "obsessing"?) so much about weight. Doesn't help. It'll lead you down a different path...that is, unless you DO want to have a powerlifter physique...?
Cool. Just trying to help...I know you are impressed and respect heavy weights, so figured if you're also doing heavy weights, you're not so much doing bbing style lifting. And, I don't see why you can't add muscle (or at least retain) while loosing fat...as long as you're patient and pace your fat loss. How tall are you?
Another fat pig who can't hit legit squat depth and is too afraid to compete in a legit fed. Here's yet another tool:Lard.-Hedge
So your goal is what? 210 with zero muscle loss?
hell no i'll be a damn toothpick at that weight, i'm not sure where i want to go weight wise, i'm not aiming to be 6 percent bodyfat or anything, just want to get the 'ol waist down a couple of inches while keeping everything else as close to the same as possible.
What was wrong with that video? The guy is doing a box squat with chains. It looked good to me.
Small weights compared to his upperbody lifts. 295 DUMBELL ROWS for reps and a small squat.
The video I was referencing is not the same guy. Do you understand what a box squat is? Do you understand how chains can be used in one's training? I am not being a jerk, just asking for clarity.
it has nothing to do with that Garraeth, the guy just seems interesting so i was wondering what you guys thought about it, at close to 240 pounds i'm not in dire need of "packing on size" though.
HEY CHRIS DO YOU TRAIN WITH THAT DUDE?
Mason, let me be totally clear: both box squats and chains are great IMO.But to do train in squats to above parallell and then compete in a federation that allows that? I will never respect that, sorry.-Hedge
