NBA Playoffs
« on: April 21, 2007, 12:15:17 AM »
Who are you all rooting for to win the NBA championship? I would love to see the Suns and Bulls in the finals; it would make a great rematch from the Jordan/Barkley days.

I'm a fan of Dirk, though his style isn't pretty.
Still, i see the Mavs doing it.

Biggest challenge will be the Suns imo. Stoudamire is a BEAST.
If he and Nash stay fit it's hard to stop them. Very versatile team, but they need amare.

Third dog could be the Spurs.
I don't really see other contenders.

it's gonna be a tough playoffs...i don't think there will be any sweeps. the detroit-orlando series will see one. i'm a lifelong lakers fan but i think it'll be suns-heat at the end. but in my imaginary world...lakers would take the suns in 6 hahaha.

this is my opinion....

Round 1:
mavs in 5
suns in 6
spurs in 6
utah in 6

heat in 7
nets in 6
cavs in 5
pistons in 4

anyone else wanna post their brackets?

Miami is a shell.

Chicago doesn't have the players that can make a difference.
Same goes for detroit (offensively too light imo).

So yeah, i see the West taking it.

As the Knicks arn't in the playoffs, we'll make it next year, you'll see :), I'm hoping either the Pistons or Spurs win it all. However, my head is saying either the Mavs or Suns will take it. I like the Mavs as players but Cuban is just about the most obnoxious, idiotic prick walking the face of the earth so I'd rather see the Suns win out of those two.

Holy Crap!!!!

Golden State just beat Dallas to go up 3-1. If the first round was best of 5 (how it used to be and how it should be) this thing would be over. Go Warriors!!!

Agreed. It has been as boring as batshit so far, well, to be honest, the last two NBA seasons have been. But the Warriors have been a breath of fresh air. Plus, I love seeing Cuban with egg on his face ;D.

Can you imagine an NBA playoffs without the last two teams that appeared in the finals.  It may soon come to fruition.

wow the raptors have realy tanked!!

im a huge fan and thought they would fair much better. sam mitchell should be fired, he is doing a horrible job.

he won coach of the year because he had a different team with better players.

the GS/Mavs series is the best by far.

id love to see GS/SUNS series, would be fucking crazy.

Fuck, the Mavs are fucking it up bad. Talk about under-achieving.
This is good news for the Spurs/Suns.

Somehow i don't see the Pistons doing it.

I like that team. Miami wasn't much of a test though.

Deng will be a star soon.

i think they got tj ford, that euro guy, tj ford, and garbajosa for the 2006-07 season. it's a brand new team bc of all these new guys but that didn't mean they would automatically become good. i think that's why he got the award. the knicks tried doing the same thing but you know the story about those guys....hahah

Damn, Warriors were just leading by nearly 10 points with only a couple of minutes left and blew it. Very disappointing. They'll be back home for game 6 and hopefully finish off the mavs. Hopefully :-\.
