Doesn't look 175lbs.  In the before he looks 20lbs heavier.  So he'd have been 205lbs, doesn't look it.  But I'm just guessing.

175 + 20 = 195, slick.

and it really doesn't make a difference what you say he looks like, he was 175 on stage and a bit under 200 when he started. not every person who weighs 175 is going to have the same visual appearance, deal with it. i can understand how you'd get confused though, since you're on the tiny side. 5'11" at 175 is going to look small.

Worth noting - Adonis beat over 80% of the Mr GetBig entrants eating junk., including a seasoned NPC guy.

worth noting: no he didn't. if you paid attention to every bit of dietary advice he gave out until he went nuts and lost the mr getbig, he always advocated high protein, low carb, moderate fat. back on mayhem when he went from fat to lean he used to post "bodybuilder recipes" for how to make a pizza or something that was whole grain, low GI, and high protein. did it all the time.

it wasn't until he lost the mr getbig and was desperate to validate himself that these phony baloney* principles came about. as late as september of 2006 he was telling garraeth to go low carb and high protein to shed the pounds. besides, he "won" based on two things: his conditioning that had nothing to do with eating junk, and his heavily enhanced photographs. he had no business even in the top 5, off the top of my head DW and bast would have beat him if they'd played his "put as much shadow on me as possible and pose covered in oil" game.

simple as that.

me personally? at least another 20. i'm around 249 now and could hit 225 without any issue. losing a lot around the middle, i've dropped two notches on my belt. strength doesn't seem to be going anywhere but it's hard to tell because i've had ZERO energy these past few days. a friend of mine in med school says i should quit doing the intense cardio and strip back to low intensity for longer periods, so i'll give that a go.

him? you said he couldn't be 175 because he looks 20 pounds heavier in the before pictures, which would mean he was 205 and doesn't look it. 20 pounds heavier would be 195.

yea i wrote the wrong number. Adonis began eating a clean diet last year then switched over half way through his diet or so.  I did as well.

kid did a great job for two months work.  looks like he lost fat and put on muscle.

He didn't have that much weight to lose to begin with.  The biggest difference between the two pics is a tan and a shave.

he didn't black out his face, i did it for him out of this crazy thing called "respect". i have a feeling he'd prefer that i leave him with some anonymity in this issue.

no he didn't. he started his clean diet at least three years ago. most of his "lean" pictures taken before the mr getbig were posted on mayhem considerably before he got banned. now he's reposting some of them and then showing more recent ones and acting like his loss of a few % in bodyfat over the course of a year and a half or so is some great accomplishment.

Just play around with the cardio. No need to do hour long sessions either, just go for a 30-40 minute brisk walk in the morning, it will help with the recovery. The benefit of doing some high intensity cardio once in awhile, is that your general fitness is better.

Good to see you keeping at it BTW.

But don't go too low. Adjust your caloric intake while your lifting is still going alright.

I've seen fat lifters (not just a bit husky like yourself) strip away all the fat, and while doing it, opt for light weights and bodybuilding excersises. They never came back to powerlifting.

Stay strong.

honestly i could never go back to regular bodybuilding. i always loved lifting and it was hard enough to do sets of 6, let alone 10. oh sure i could do them, but then i'd want to put more weight on. even these days it's a conscious effort for me not to hit heavy singles every workout. sticking with triples or sets of 5 is damn hard work.

45 minutes of moderate intensity cardio three times a week seems enough for me. every morning would be burning almost 5000 calories per week total, which would be just insanity aside from me hating it. i'm in a caloric deficit just from my diet and the Scorch, above that and it'd be crazy.

how did i get involved in this?

I never did anything TA suggested...sometimes I said I did -- off the cuff, however.
Hope you realized that.

...this is kinda cool: http://www.mercuronutrition.com/sportsnutrition.asp

lookin huge man. biceps seem a little shady, though. :D

i know you didn't do anything he suggested, but roundabout that time the guy was telling you a protocol that is exactly what he said was wrong with bodybuilding diets later. my point was just that he changed everything he claimed sometime late last year because he's a pathetic attention whoring sack of shit (who has lately started trolling my youtube account to post dumb comments because, yes, he's that sad) who tried to gain validation by fashioning himself as a nutritionist guru espousing theories that aside from being entirely wrong were nothing resembling what he himself used to lose all that weight.

i understand your point, though. i mean it's not like anyone's gonna know who he is and i didn't give his name or anything. but i still figure if i'm showing faces without consent i should blur it, like on shows like jackass.  8)
