HAHAHAHA! That's a minor change! In California, where I'm from in the SF BAY AREA, Columbus Day is referred to as "Indigenous Persons day". :P

It is now "Admistrative Professionals Week" as well as a Day:

"In the year 2000, IAAP [International Association of Administrative Professionals" announced a name change for Professional Secretaries Week and Professional Secretaries Day. The names were changed to Administrative Professionals Week and Administrative Professionals Day to keep pace with changing job titles and expanding responsibilities of today’s administrative workforce."

In our office, the managing partner is waiting for voice recognition technology to get a little better and then- "bye bye" secretaries (and their inflated salaries and benefits).

Some of us brilliant bosses forgot and had to run out for flowers in the middle of the day.   :-[
