Yet the poll shows that 56 percent say they agree more with the Democrats in Congress who want to set a deadline for troop withdrawal, versus the 37 percent who say they agree with Bush that there shouldn't be a deadline. What's more, 55 percent believe that victory in Iraq isn't possible. And 49 percent say the situation in Iraq has gotten worse in the last three months since Bush announced his so-called troop surge. Thirty-seven percent say the situation has stayed about the same, and just 12 percent think it has improved.

According to the poll, only 22 percent believe the country is on the right track. That's the lowest number on this question since October 1992, when Bush father's was running for a second term — and lost.

On a serious note this isn't surprising, as the War drones on and on more and more people are going to grow frustrated. It's the curse of a poorly planned and executed War.

I wouldn't argue that the sky is blue with a blind man.  Arguing with a neotaint about how morally correct this war is, or how well it's going, is akin to that.  They don't want to see the reality that the rest of the world sees, and now 3/4 of their own nation sees. 

I don't blame them.  They have a lot of themselves invested in their party.  Can you imagine telling your family the stuff you've been spewing to them for 6 years is wrong?  no way their insecure egos can take that hit.  They don't want too look stupid.  Plus, they hate "liberals" more than they hate seeing US caskets.

They hate "liberals" more than they hate seeing caskets come home with our fallen soldiers. They'd rather 3350, or 5000, or 10,000 Americans fall, than admit someone like Kerry or Hilary is right about the need to pull out.
