Just had lunch with Shawn Ray, Jay Cutler, Bob Cicherillo and others at the Firehouse on Saturday.  Shawn has always been cool to me, and likes to promote the sport of bodybuilding. He is promoting the Colorado Pro Show, and came to support the Max Muscle Venice opening after being at the NPC Orange County Muscle Classic prejuding.

Now, had Shawn has run ins with a few of the bodybuilders. Yes, as Milos, Melvin, and others will attest. Is Shawn a little arrogant, perhaps. But I judge someone by whenever i meet them, and Shawn is ok with me.

Now, in regarding money and business, I would say to everyone, always write down or agree on everything before you start any transactions, so there won't be any surprises to any additional expenses or unclear agreements, but that goes for everyone.

Allegations. Everyone has something from the past. Everyone. There is a difference between allegations and reality, and proof. I hear so many allegations about people every week. Some people every tell me things they heard about me that are funny and untrue. Again, allegations are not proof. It has been discussed over and over before.

as for Shawn's past "business" dealings, especially with onlyme, how old was he when he did these, and when was the last time he fucked up royally?

if he did something horrible and "used" someone yesterday, then he is a piece of shit, if he did something 10 years ago, maybe we can just attribute it to being a dumbass who didn't think things through.

if he's happy with his life, if his family's safe and happy, i doubt he cares about a few internet nerds talking shit about him.  i'd rather have money and no friends and have a happy family than be a "well liked guy" who lives off food stamps.  i already hate people, making money off it would be an added bonus.

I have no personal knowledge of Shawn Rays buiness or personal dealings in or around bodybuilding.
However, I do know that Shawn had an incredible pro physique and comes off as intelligent, articulate and direct.I suspect he just pissed off a few folks along the way , but that is life. Bodybuilding can be a crazy lifestyle for sure and with that somes some wild times and UNreliable, UNethical individuals. Combine THAT reality with the required questionable drug use , all top bodybuilders engage in, and you have a recipe for some questionable tales.
Shawn seems like an ok guy to me and I admire him for his intelligent manner and speech.
I look forward to attending the 2007 Vyotech Colorado pro in June. I already have my tickets and trip set.
