Cheap equipment!

Are you burning them as mp3? Your car cd might not be compatible with them as such.
Try burning them as audio files which will decrease the amount you get on each CD drastically.

Use a brain dead program like Nero.  It has nice little picture and walkthroughs.

if your CD's are in fact "burnt" they may not work anywhere, however if you burned a CD as in putting it in your CDW and downloading/transfering and burning music on to it, it should work fine.

what program are you using to burn it? If you are using iTunes, you should convert the files as an AAC not an Mp3.

CD-RWs aren't universal like CD-Rs, may have to copy them.

Also CDs that are burned are thicker than the originals. Burned CDs work in my car, but sometimes they seemed to skip like they are scratched, but they aren't.

Are you using a CD-RW that could be the problem.  Itunes burnes regular CD's with CD-Rs

Use a program called Switch. It lets you convert mp3 files to wave, aiff and a whole bunch of other different files to one that  will work on your cd player.
