You're kidding, right?

Back before 240 became a pussy he used to make Bob look like a chump almost daily on here. If debating skill (or lack thereof) is an indicator of intelligence (or lack thereof), Bob ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.

I know that chick got owned bad on getbig on a large variety of ocasions...but... purly judging by War of the Worlds, his way of talking, the approach he has on life... I say the man is not dumb.
BTW: The owning TA gave him back in the days because he said this one retarded (cannot remember name) Bodybuilder who plans a comeback AFTER he got a kidney from his sister... Chick said NO WAY!!!... that was classic.

To be honest, I don't think Chick is stupid.  He's a college grad and has good people skills, and is confident.

However, I think he has a big ego and slight insecurity which manifests itself in an eagerness to prove himself without thinking things through.  He makes huge statements to justify/defend flawed positions, without stopping to think about the effects of these statements.

A few days ago, he jumped at the chance to insult Lee Priest by saying 2 of his 3 IFBB wins were "gifts".  While it made him look good in the short term to make 5 anonymous people go "LOL" in a forum and reinforced his own self-worth, it cast a huge shadow of doubt on the entire IFBB judging system.  If the majority of Lee's wins were "gifts" as the IFBB rep put it - what other IFBB titles were "gifts"?  Bob has only spoken on the legitimacy of three IFBB shows (the three Lee did), and in his expert opinion (and official capacity), 66.6% of these show titles were awarded to the wrong man.

That's huge, man.  As a fan, I want to believe all shows are judged fairly.  I don't want to believe this sport gives 2/3 of titles to the wrong guy.  Bob's admission leaves the fans at a loss for what to believe in:

I like Chick.  He's good for the sport.  It's my own opinion that ANY leader with an indefinite appointment will grow complacent in his duties as relationships solidify.  It's my opinion that they should rotate IFBB athlete reps every year.  I am sure that Rich jones, with his MBA, could stir the pot a little bit and shake out an Olympia prize money increase that isn't BELOW the inflationary rate.  I am sure that a Rick Collins (although not an athlete), could put into place a union system and medical (read: gear) protections, within a year, which would stop guys from getting screwed by the brass and popped by the popo.

It's nothing against Bob, who I think is a good face of bodybuilding and did the right thing with the Titus mess by distancing Craiggers for the sport.  But fresh blood is good, and there are a lot of brilliant, experienced, and creative people in the sport who would be able to implement lasting changes given the opportunity.

Yes, he did accuse me of that, using an AOL IP address as his ironclad evidence.  When I (and others) explained clearly that AOL IPs are proxied and come from a bank, he dismissed his own evidence as hogwash, yet maintained his claim, as I couldn't prove it wasn't me.   I then offered to take a polygraph for a $10,000 wager, and he grew mute on the topic.  I guess readers can make their own judgment on that one.

I have to disagree. I think his writing in MD sucks (but then again I haven't read an issue of MD in a long time).

Well, witty may be a stretch. If we're talking the typical 18th century wit, then no... but by today's standards, I think he does all right in that department.

So let me get this right...you're accusing me of casting doubt on the entire IFBB udging system? Are you talking about the same system I've been lobbying to have CHANGED for the last 4 years? Boy, I cant get nothing past you....

Your math skills are flawed...I singled out Lee Priest specifically...as I believe in 2 out of the 3 wins, the runner up could just as easily been awarded the title...I didn't say ALL pro shows. I like how you used a specific example to illustrate the results of ALL the pro shows...

My opinion doesn't leave the fans at a loss for anything...they have their own opinion which may or may not be the same as mine. I didn't come up with the current judging system, nor do I judge.

Bob, you love the sport, you're good for the sport, and you're doing a good job.  Let me be clear there.

It'sj ust my opinion that rotating athletes rep would allow others with skills and ideas in certain areas to shine in the position.  Also, in any longterm appointment, there does become a bit of complacency as you and those you negotiate with share common interests.  Bringing in a man like a Collins - who can in no way be bullied like a competitor can - would allow the bodybuilders to let a tough guy kick ass and build the union, without suffering politically.

Bob, you did great lobbying and we saw the judging improvements at the arnold this year.  As far as the Priest comment you made - I have only seen you comment on the legitimacy of 3 show outcome - those 3 that Priest won.  If you have commented publicly on the legitimacy of other shows, great.  I haven't read those posts.  I only recall this week you said that 2 of 3 of Priests' wins were gifts, which I found shocking because unlike many out there, I think the best man almost always wins in IFBB shows.

So don't think I'm beating on you, I'm not.  You're THE face of BBing not named Cutler/Coleman/Heath/Priest, and you speak on behalf of all IFBB Pros.  So of course, your words are going to be scrutinized in this, the most influential forum in bodybuilding.  You're doing a great job, but it's just one fat man's opinion that rotating out IFBB rep would get more sweeping changes done and more importantly, that raise in price money greater than the inflationary rate. that's all. peace.

The positive comments are appreciated...

If there are people that think they can bring more to the table than I have, then I encourage them to run for the position next time it's up for election...it's not a lifetime appt.

As for the prize money...Ive successfully gotten the back end of the purse increased from zero to + $4,000...I would say thats a pretty substancial increase over and above the inflation rate. I thought it was more important to make sure everyone got a piece of the pie instead of just giving more money to those allready cashing in...
