Online fitness forum debates over "300"
« on: May 08, 2007, 03:07:11 PM »
some are saying it's impossible from dudes who never worked out in their life (skinny, fat, skinny/fat) to get to "spartan" level physique in 12 weeks naturally, no matter how hard they try.

i personally think gerard butler (and a few others) were juiced to the gills for the movie.  discuss.

wow, saying you juice like the juiceman is as funny and original here as posting a picture of a bicycle when someone asks to "post your cycle".

I've learned this over the years:

A lot more people juice than others think.  People LOVE to post pictures online or claim in the gym that they're natural when they're not....I've met many such people...you get to know them and they're like, "ok so I'm doing x,y and z what about you" assuming that everyone is lying...

Because of this people get a warped impression of what is achieveable for a natural with average genetics...

None of their physiques in the movie were specifically impressive. Moreover, there was a lot of special effects in the movie that made them appear larger than they were including special lighting. Gerard butler has been working out for years. Watch  "Atilla" and he is fairly muscular in that movie as well. Maybe some of them used steroids for their roles however I doubt many did. Specifically not the major actors.
