14" vs 20" arm pic
« on: May 09, 2007, 03:18:12 PM »
I cut this out of a flex or mf mag way back in the mid 80's and have kept it in a photo album for over 20 years for inspiration. I still like looking at the huge disparity between the two arms. Remember, this was printed back when 20" arms were pretty unusual and definitely something to brag about. The 20" arm looks kinda short to me but it looks about perfect to me in ratio of bicep to tricep to forearm.

The scan isn't the best but the picture got wrinkled over the past 20 years.

Enjoy

Yes, I could tell right away that the only difference between the 14" and and the 20" arm was just the high intensity training ::).............who couldn't figure that out :-\?

Thanks for posting it, I remember seeing it with some HIT Mentzer article years ago. I really brings home the point that real , 20" muscular (NOT fat) arm is rare and VERY impressive.     Howard

You know everyone hears "20 inch arms" and thinks of a huge bicep, but the majority of size in that guy's arm is his tricep. That thing hangs down about 4 inches! I think the real diff. between guys with 18 inch arms and 20 inch arms is the tricep.

That photo (which is astonishing) is from a 1985 issue of M&F.  It's one of the few issues I still actually have.  Jeff and Cory were on the cover and the super-feature was dedicated to "intensity".
