I have switched to almost exclusively Body Weight training.
Just got a pair of rings, and the very first day I hung them I was able to do iron cross to support for reps. I also feel way better and more powerful then when I was doing 2.75xbw sumo DLs
Cool. I like chins and dips, but still like weights to round things out. I think I'd feel too limited with BW excercises only. Been meaning to incorporate handstand pushups, but my balance is shit - I'd appreciate any tips there.
Did you go into that iron cross eccentric (drop into it from the top) or concentric (bring yourself up into it from below)? Either way... wow, if the latter, then

!!
Bear in mind that the greatest strength to weight ratio is found in professional rock climbers (so I've heard), but you probably wouldn't pick one of them as your ideal physique.
body weight excercises etc is always prefered by skinny weak people
Then allow me this blanket statement: Body weight excercises are always shunned by lardasses.
