ok i just watched thursdays episode of tuf. clearly joe? if thats his name is on another level. no wonder since he beat pulver. but corey didnt bring it, another of those guys that talk a lot but cant deliver once in the ring, in his case it isnt surprising considering that he hasnt fought before but hes not the talent they make him outta to be, guy cant do shit in the ring. i thought he would be aggressive and it turns out hes one of those guys that just stand there. he cant punch. cant throw a proper jab. have no leg kicks at all which is remarkable considering his length and reach advantage he got his chin up. have not takedowns etc etc doesnt matter how hard you train if you cant perform better than that in the ring when its go time

and emerson, well guy cant fight for shit either. superman punch and shit wtf. and at the end of the show when they showed a little whats gonna happen next episode one of penns guys gonna get kicked out, so what does that mean? dont tell me they gonna put emerson on the show for the third time now  ::)

yawn.

I was expecting so much more.  I know in the third round he was tired, he said "He gave his heart."  But, let them fly.  Emerson had some pretty good leg kicks, I think he was intimidated.  The next fight Cory will get crushed if he is fighting someone with any ground game.  I do like Cory I think he has charisma and hope he has more to show.

Joe Lauzon, IMO, is a harbinger of what you're gonna see in MMA: kids who grew up watching mma, got started in their teens, crosstrained from the get go, and, by the time they're in their early twenties, they're already a force to be reckoned with.

Take a look at his record. He can beat you a wide variety of ways: Armbars, leglocks, chokes, and KOs.

Couldn't agree with you more.  JLau has legit skills.  As more and more kids start training arts that are more conducive to mma, you will see better and better fighters.  (judo, bjj, wrestling, boxing) all have outlets in high school athletics as well.  In ten years, the level of proficiency should rise dramatically.

The one question that no one is asking is what does Correy's fight say about the talent level of this shows MMA fighters.

Joe is clearly the real deal but it seems that either you're really good or shit. There is no middle ground. There are guys from the TV show that are ranked in the top 5 in there weight class. THE TOP 5! Just from winning a reality TV show!

Joe is the clear winner in his division and might be worth something down the road. The other division is full of shit scrubs that will be ranked too high and leave us crying......no wait that's Gabe crying.

I think they wanted to play up the controversy and drama.  Lots of that on this season.

He was on the show strictly because he's an oddity: A 6'4" guy who can make 155.

He's what the NFL would call "A Project"
