Ummmmmm, okay.  :-\
come on Goat you live in Houston right? all of the 350-450 pound lardasses you see down there eating buffets and BBQ, shit Ron looks thin compared to those people, that's what i consider tremendously overweight, for a guy of Ron's height i would say tremendously overweight starts at at least 300 pounds.

Ron is a good guy from what I know of him and a real fan of bodybuilding. In any other sport NOBODY cares if a fan, organizer,  coach or retired pro is a bit chunky.

We're lookin' out for Yaroni's health, Howard!

You don't want him to have a heart attack and keel over and end up crushing both his camera and a couple of fitness chicks, do ya?   >:(

How does business get in the way of not eating?

I don`t get it.

HAHAHA.

I know!

It's different for those bulking up who need to make sure to eat frequent small meals throughout the day, but losing weight is only a matter of doing LESS work (eating).  Granted, it may be difficult psychologically to adjust your diet like that, but so is bulking up.

I have no sympathy for fat people, but before hating on them understand this: they pay the price (health, socially) for their weight, just as those of us in shape reap the benefits.

Ron is overweight but not extremely so.  I also don't really like the unorthodox approach to dieting.  Ron just needs to eat a healthy diet and exercise if he wants to lose weight.  No need to talk as if fasting is the magic bullet - this isn't an exact science.  :)

Fasting is not always a bad thing when done correctly, but the following is true:  Controlled Fasting is better healthwise than whatever Ron is currently doing.

I really don't hang out with those yahoos.  Most of my friends/associates, like myself, are not native Texans.  With the number of corporations headquartered here and the people they transfer in from all over, probably half the city's population are northerners or foreigners.

The methodology of those surveys are kind of stupid, though.  They don't actually take a representative sample of the population and measure their bodyfat or anything.  They base the results on things like number of restaurants per capita, per capita acres of city parks, weather, and a bunch of other things that may or may not have any bearing on obesity.

If just walking around in public and looking at people is an indicator, the fattest city I've ever seen is Memphis, TN.

I weigh 252 pounds, and am 6'1".  I have every excuse in the book - two little kids at home, working 10+ hours a day (and that is not regarding this site), taking care of myriad of other projects, and much more.

The truth is that I have not set my mind to get into the mode to push myself to get in shape - every excuse in the book won't help me there. So after this week ends, I will try to get myself in the mode, Milos' seminar might do the trick...

Hey, they call me Yogo or Fred Flinstone, that is ok, I have stayed the same weight for about 3 years now (actually lost a few pounds), but between bagels and Orange Chicken...

Yes, concern for my health is nice, and hopefulyl by the Olympia, will be where I want to be.

But being a bodybuilding fan comes in many sizes and shapes. I am always amazed that some of you think to be a fan, you need to be in tip top shape. Get with it, most of the people who go to the expos and shows are not the mass monsters, but the ones who enjoy the sport, the expo and the respect one gives for the dedication, training, and hard work to come into the shape you want to be. It is inspirational.

According to this chart, your current BMI is 33.5 (obese) and your target weight should be 190 or so.

I think Milos or some other trainer from the board should start "Project Ron...  the transformation".  ;D

So those are justifications to eat more?  Its easy.  Just eat less.  You don`t even have to exercise.

I don`t get the excuse part.  What is stopping you from eating less?

Not everyone is like you.

Eating less is a lifestyle thing and some people cannot change.
