Author Topic: Markus Ruhl - How will he place at the O this year? (Read 7641 times)

How do you guys think he will place at the O this year? He came 8th in 2006 so do you reckon he will place better or is markus going to keep placing lower. Apparently he is looking at coming in at 290+ this year but he seems to have trouble with his conditioning at a lighter weight so i guess we will have to wait and see. Markus is my favourite and if he could come in with more definition in his back and a lot more in his hams and glutes i think he would place higher. What do you guys think he needs improvement on?

Thanks mate....Tell me about it. Like i know he has a few flaws but he really gets fucked over when it comes to placings. But after seeing the NY Pro results i guess its just something that deserving bodybuilders will have to put up with

Look at ronnie's triceps, they're probably now even worse than ruhl's. Not too mention his calves.

He does but I think he peaked during the hysteria over mass at all costs and I think, unfortunately, became a bit of a scapegoat after the backlash. He was an easier/softer target than Mr O-to-be Cutler or reigning champ Coleman, although I think the latter will pay for that this year, too (both in his placing and health.)

I'll be surprised if Ruhl makes much of a breach into the top ten this year and that'll probably be it for him.

that's all depending on how well his pec surgery goes. His pecs are probably his second best muscle group (after shoulders) so he can't lose the symmetry in those.

I know this will piss off squadfather but Markus is a guy who I REALLY believe was a hell of alot more impressive when he first hit the scene. The pics from his first 2 NOC's he looked crazy in. Now to me even when he's in shape he looks soft...BUT...I've never really seen him in person or on TV, only in the mags and an occasional video on the computer. I remember thinking he looked damn impressive when they showed a short clip of him from the year before he placed 15th at the olympia-the clip was from when he was 5th, I was actually shocked by how much bigger he looked than the pics I saw.

as far as size goes, he's big as a house but again it comes down to the thing most of the guys today are missing and that's refinement...
