Muscle Fiber After Steriods
« on: May 17, 2007, 01:46:08 PM »
Speaking to a pharmacist friend at work, he said he came across some research which stated after a cycle of steriods the "angle" of the muscle fiber was different forever.  He said it grew from there on out in such a way as to be more conducive to strength even when off the steroids.  If the muscle fibers grow at a different angle, could this account for the fuller look some people who have used steriods in the past but are not currently on a cycle?

I haven't juiced in 3 years.  I was on everything (human grade, vet stuff, mixes, blends, and doses that make my liver hurt just thinking about) for 6 or 7 years prior to that with hard training and a good diet.  I honestly feel and look better (and bigger) than I ever did "on-cycle".  I do feel you can change your structure and lean body mass with AAS, and once you go off you can continue to grow off of what you've gained...  Just look at some pros that aren't competing but continue to train as an example.  I have recently trained with Jim Quinn and he's still as big as a house and in great shape without the gear...and yes he still has insane vascularity in his legs.  (remember that old Twin Lab ad?)

I do believe that you can use AAS just like any other "supplement" to achieve a physique that is radically different than what you started with.  I also believe that you can stop using AAS and continue to build off of your gains......when you do come off it's just a matter of being able to get over the fear of stopping.  You know, taking off the superman cape, hoping your bench doesn't drop by 50lbs and that you won't be "small" etc...

You actually believe that Jim is not using anything?  Please don't be so naive.

I know what Jim uses and it's just HRT.  He just had a kid a little over a year ago.

One of my best friends juiced for 10 years, at one time he was on 1500mg of test for 3 years straight. he competed at his best around 195 pounds ripped to the bone and was 5'7". one day he decided to give up the juice and came off 1500mg test, 900mg deca and 100mg Drol with nothing for PCT except Clomid. he kept training like an animal and eating well. this was about 2 years ago and he's "bigger" now than he was back then. the only difference is he lost about 20% of his strength but the bastard still shoulder presses the 120's for 8 reps.

now he also competed natural for years prior to all of this and there is a drastic difference in the appearance of his muscle bellies after 10 years of juicing. i'm not sure if it was the steroids, the GH or just training balls to the wall for 10 years but his entire body has a completely different flow to it. even now that he is clean he looks the same as he did juiced but less vascular and doesn't hold much water.

I realized that...  I just thought yopu were saying he used nothing.
