BARK magazine is looking for its 10th anniversary cover dog. The contest is open to everyone. Send a photo of your pup along with a short essay (150 words or less) telling them why he/she should win. Entries are due by August 31st.

As nobody is going to do that anyway why don't we start our own online contest for the best cover dog for the month June? It has to be a healthy dog and a picture with his/her eyes open !!!
I will start with my Neo girl laying on our new couch!!:....

Louie is a Pomeranian and I rescued him from a pet store of all places, he had bad mange and was severely mistreated (people suck) I took him and told the pet store owner I was calling the TV stations, radio, you name it -- he was out of biz in less than a week.

Since then Louie, named after my grandfather, has had a great life. He is 8 years old and I keep him in a 'puppy cut' because it is freakin hot here. He is a talker, he barks low like he is trying to talk. Funny dog.

My wife had a pom when I met her and her name is Princess -- I know, pretty funny seeing a big guy walking poms named Princess and Louie. But they are my kids.

Wow! Kudos to you, JimmyTheFish,for rescuing Louie AND putting that place out of business.

I like that cut, makes them look like little baby bears or something.

When my pack gets smaller (hopefully not for a long time!) I think I am going to go with smaller dogs. Poms are one breed I've thought of, or I might just stick with chihuahuas as my small dogs.

yeah get a fuggin load of this...im 6ft about 235 with some big ass arms and shoulders and i walk a yourke (p diddy above) and my god brother is about 6 feet 225 but looks bigger because hes hella cut...and he walks a chi chi named nickles...w are both tatted up and wear tank tops while walkin our 5lb dogs
