Metallica used to be a fantastic band, but the way they didn't just sell out but ABSOLUTELY FUCKING BETRAYED all of their original fans means i can't listen to them any more. Sad but true [

They were still quite well off financially after the Justice album. They progressed as a band. No band continues to do the same type of material all the time. They went in a direction that just happened to encompass a greater demographic. They didn't do it on purpose just to make more money.

in an interview in kerrang a few years back. Ulrich claimed he wanted to tour with oasis, to see whos "the heaviest band in the world". I bet Cliff is turning in his grave.

biggest problem with metallica was hetfield not sounding the way he did in the old voice. his voice was gone. he for many years sounded like a whining little bitch.

he's been better recently though. st anger had some good tracks.

I can remeber when Kerrang was the best magazine on the planet. Gotta love the eighties! I stopped buying it when they started featuring bands like the prodigy. Nowdays mags are irrelavent. LONG LIVE THE INTERNET!!!!!

Oasis isn't even a heavy metal band. They had 3 or 4 hits with wonderwall being their biggest. Makes no sense

Kill 'em All, Ride the lightning, master of puppets kicked ass, and justice for all and the black album had some decent songs. Everything else is garbage and is NOTHING like the old Metallica.

He does not sound like a heavy metal vocalist anymore.. $:-\$ He sounds like some country singer.

Kirk Hammett is still awesome though. His solo in 'One' is genius.

I think Hetfield and him have steered Metallica in a shitty direction. Had Cliff Burton never died they wouldn't be a shitty country rock band like they are today.
