Who's competing - Jr. Nationals / USAs / Team U
« on: May 22, 2007, 07:42:37 AM »
Who's competing in this summer's shows? I'll be doing previews for bodybuilding.com before the shows and photographing each event. Let us know if you or someone you know is competing. Also if you wish to be included on the previews for bodybuilding.com pm me here.

Three people to keep your eyes on and have a great chance at turning pro in '07.

Huong Arcinas - First in her class at JR USA - definitely should be a pro.
Erin Heath - Won the Emerald Cup and placed second at JR USAs
Krissy Chin - Second in her class at JR USAs.

Huong and Krissy will be competing at JR Nationals and Erin will take the stage in New York.

I'll be there! I've been out of the competing scene for about 1 1/2 years so this is my come back, hopefully  ;D

I'll be doing the lightweight bodybuilding division at Team Universe.  This will be my fourth trip to the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, but it will be nice to try out the New York stage sans heels this time around.

There is a local girl here doing Team U.  Lauren Noah is her name I think.  She did Jr USA's.  She's 5'6 and in figure so whatever class that is.

Thank you, Gene...and Benny!  I have made changes to my balance and symmetry, added to my upper body thickness, put some size back onto my quads, rounded out my glutes a bit more, and kept the shape and overall look that makes me happy at the end of the day.  I am pleased thus far with my progress, but I know as well as anyone else that anything can happen between now and then, and anyone can show up on that stage in any shape possible.  So I just aim to do my best and stick to my personal goals for my physique.

Should I send you an e-mail, Gene, regarding doing a shoot up there?  I would like to work with you again.

Erin Heath - Won the Emerald Cup and placed second at JR USAs
Krissy Chin - Second in her class at JR USAs.

Great picks! Chin is outstanding as I seen Lonnie (Swami) Teper predict her win well as Houng. Asians this year!!!

Well Heath is just beautiful and her lines are awesome. I think these 3 will win their classes this go around. This year seems full of promise as all the girls competing look strong! great post

Heath is waiting until Team U, last I heard. Krissy and Huong will both be competing this weekend.

Courtney Gahmm won the Carol Semple/Rocky Mountain class and looked great last December, she'll be in the A class along with Maria Gonzalaz (sp). The A class is going to be tough.

And let's not forget San Diego's lil' dynamo, Meriza DeGuzman!!  (It's Meriza, not Maria, by the way - and yeah, to complicate it a bit more, her last name is now DeGuzman, not Goncalves any more) but She's in her best shape yet and on a roll!

With 2 runner-up spots in '06 (USAs and North Americans) and tied w/ lil' Huong in the one-piece at the Jr. Nationals in Chicago last month, my money's on this one!  Meriza's on point this show!  Good luck to all the shorties!  A class is going to be killer again this show!

The A Class is definitely the toughest this year. Liza Kampstra was in the top 5 at Jr. Nationals and will be making the trip to NYC. Also another top contender in the A Class is Shelly Rego who won the A class at the Emerald Cup. I believe Monica Mark who won the IRONMAN Figure in Feb. is also in the A Class and doing the show.
