Okay bro...First I'm looking for a serious responds here from you.
I just watched the episode a couple of days ago for the second time, first I watched it way back in the days when I was working out but had absolutely no interest in pro bodybuilding.
I remember that I had no idea who you or Cook were or all the others but I remember clearly that I thought: Man this looks so over the top, why would you look like that.
Now since I have been a fan of Pro Bodybuilding for a while I looked at all of you a little different, of course all of you were in the deep deep offseason and sure enough the bellies were great and big ;)
Question:
Was it requested from the Producers that all of you came in as heavy as possible never mind if you look (excuse me) more fat than defined?
Or was it just the time of the year when they were filming it? In this case simply offseason for you guys?

The reason I ask this is this, If I would have been you I would have liked to present myself in the best light possible, I mean this was not a 2sec appearance like Alexxx, so why the offseason and not at least a little bit presentable?

For all that have not seen it:

It was filmed in Dec or Jan if I remember correctly. Yes, we were all about as off season as we could be...

It was also intended to be over the top...the speedo's, the heavy oil, etc.... all was supposed to be a tongue n cheek style parody.

Cool thing is...were still getting residuals from it..!

Thanks for answering bob, one more question, personally did it feel strange walking around not fat as such but in less than optimum condition? What I mean is, weren't people always looking at you guys?

Oh and how is the Actor that plays Hal?

His question is more like, was it a request to be off season or are they somewhat ignorant regarding bodyfat/what in shape is.

It is in response to the fact that pro's in mainstream media are often out of shape - and don't look all that good and kind of misrepresent the freaky aspect of bodybuilding which is hidden pretty well under fat.

IE you in dodgeball.  And I know you weren't out of shape, but you weren't looking crazy contest ready either.

Residuals will varry depending on how you are listed in the credits (how big your role is)...Both Chris Cook and I are listed as "co-stars", which means we got a pretty good chunk of change, and continue to get checks every time it runs....

ROCKET:

It's bad enough having to work in the off season...doesn't help wen you are doused with glyceryn (heavy oil) every 1/2 hour for 2-3 shooting days..! We don't have color on either...it's a TV show, not a BB stage.

Re: Dodgeball...actually. I was in pretty damn good shape for that one...just not in the best lighting...remember, we're on a set, not a stage, or doing a BB photo shoot...you also can only be as dark as you are naturally, no pro tan, etc.

STARK:

Yes, it always feels strange to be in trunks when you're anything but "contest ready"...but then again....we've made over $30,000 thus far...so you learn to live with it..! ;D

Chris Cook is doing fine and working in the financial field, taking courses as well...fighting MMA on the side.

Excellent: Tell me bro, how is Malcolm's father Hal like? He is by far (right after Reese) the one that makes me laugh the most :D

HAL: My God you are all so... big.... and... shiny :D
Chris Cook: Thanks Mr...but we can always be bigger and shinier ;D

Why are they always yelling at each other in that retarded show?  I have to turn that crap off when it comes on or it stresses me out for no reason.  Worst show I have ever not seen.  Sorry cant get past the constant yelling and loud bitchy people on it.

To me its not so much the missing colour but the fact you rarely see even a single vein in pro's appearances on tv.  I don't think pro's are in their best light on a bodybuilding stage either.

To me a lot of pre contest photos are insanely better than the bb stage.  Look at milos regular updates from the gym.  Those shots are freaky as hell - whereas onstage things are generally fairly average.  I realise that from an analytical/judging point of view that may be the most generic and fair way of doing things but you have to wonder when every single pre contest shot blows your mind and pro show pictures rarely do.
