Most girls see guys that develop such toned bodies as insecure and obsessed with themselves, they prefer someone who has a regular bod and chill personality that isn't always looking at himself in the mirror.
Yes, this is sort of right. It's not so much you looking in mirrors that will bother them; it's that you are a mirror of what they are supposed to measure up to. When you were less cut, you were less intimidating, and I don't mean intimidating like you are going to beat them. Women are generally vain and self-counscious of their appearance...even more vain that bodybuilders. A quick glance in the average woman's purse shows this is obvious - you're guaranteed to find a mirror and some makeup. If you are cut and look like you are in great shape, women will only come up to you if they feel they are also in great shape and look great. They have to have a very high self-esteem (or think they are the shit when they are really just a 5/10) to have the guts to "measure up." Now a woman who is in average shape sees a guy in average shape and that part is taken care of. An average women won't feel worthy enough to a guy who is in great condition AND shows it.
That's why there are so many women-only gyms. Awhile back I remember reading some survey results about what women like to see in co-ed gyms where they work out. They don't want to see a lot of guys in tank tops showing off muscles and such; it makes them uncomfortable. They were most comfortable in gyms where guys were wearing sweats, loose fitting t-shirts, etc.
If you want to have women come up to you like they did before, you have to look like you did before. Hide the muscle, don't wear tight shirts, do whatever you have to do to look like the "regular guy."
