Getting sick of watching the TUF competitors all the time....i mean, who wants to watch boring Leben or that guy w the blue cool-aid hair anyway? Get some fighters!

UFC is all about ex high school/college wrestlers rolling around on the ground trying to GNP or put on submissions they don't have the skill to use effectively. Hopefully they will become more exciting like Pride but I think Dana White will just ruin Pride so it looks good compared to his baby UFC. Pride rules make it a real fight not a couple of chumps rolling around for 5 min.

ok dumbass that's why i said Pride is gonna suck now, cause UFC bought them, read the post. I'm saying that for entertainment i perfer the rules of Pride since there is more actual fighting and less homo rolling around on the mat for 5 min doing nothing.

Oh yeah did I just miss the best UFC has to offer getting knocked out by a Pride guy? thought so

What about Crocops first win in the UFC?
What about Anderson Silva over Leben?
What about Anderson Silva over Franklin?
What about Rampages first win in the UFC?
Trigg has founght twice in Pride and was a commentator...adding his wins to the UFC side is BS.
and Heath Herring...please...he'd been gone from Pride for 3 years and was fighting in K-1

So far in less than a year, two "second tier" Pride fighters have come to the UFC and within two fights each, have taken titles! HAHAHA
Lets see what happens to the HW division when Crocop gets over the fluke loss, Big Nog, Fedor, Alexander and the baby face assassin come to town. Let's see what happens to the middleweight division when Dan Henderson and ATT make their entrance.
Let's see how long it takes for the UFC to become Pride's training ground when Russian Top Team and Chutebox, BTT and Takada Dojo get accustomed to the UFC cage and its rules.

But you keep betting on guys like Tim Silvia, Chris Leben and Rich (the former gym teacher without a face) Franklin....

For me, I'm going to enjoy watching Pride fighters face each other for UFC's titles. Crocop v Fedor v Nog v Josh Barnett v Shogun v Rampage v Henderson v Wanderlei v etc.... It'll be like the good ole days!

On another note, there is a void for the real quality shows that Pride had. UFC with its one headliner and a bunch of who-are-they's will get old real quick for the rest of the world that was used to 9 or 10 quality Pride fights every three months. While Pride itself may die,there is a need and that need will get filled by a rival or some new organization.

Don't despair yet Pride fans!!!!

Trigg fought Iha in Pride before he fought in the UFC. He was the champ of the WFA when John Lewis owned it and was publicly challenging Hughes for the title (then unification). So if anything, Trigg is a Pride fighter.

But if we use that logic, then Saku is a UFC fighter.

do you base your assumption that UFC fighters are better than Pride fighters on the fact that UFC bought Pride? That is ridiculous, you know nothing about MMA or how to judge a fighter. Crocop may have lost, but his passion for the game has gone - on his day there is barely a man alive that can stand with him for 5-10 minutes. Gomi valiantly fought a much bigger Nick Diaz (but i have been saying for a long time Diaz is going to play a big part in the future of the sport), yet you havent seen half of the Pride roster.

Wait til somebody challenges Fedor (if he fights for Zuffa), wait til Big Nog gets in there, wait for Hendo, Shogun, Hunt - your idol Tim Sylvia wont even be ranked in the top 5 by then. Hendo will tear up the middleweight division if he fights at 185 and take apart almost everyone on the UFCs roster. Dont believe me? By all means ask anybody who knows anything about true MMA or watch their highlight reels on youtube.

Anderson Silva went to Pride, and lost the last 2 out of 5 fights yet hes a completely different level from anyone UFC has to offer. Do some research on the fighters there before you go off on one

Superbrawl, before it became Icon Sport was the closest thing to a streetfight. soccer kicks on the ground, stomps and elbows and knees to a downed opponent. I used to watch the futurebrawl fights at Gussie La'Mours, and sometimes ending up fighting with someone in the crowd.

Well there's also Vale Tudo. That level of realism is not necessarily a good thing though. Pride style rules are sufficient to determine who would win in a streetfight. Ironically, the streetfights seem to have more rules than PRIDE. I'm talking about Kimbo fights.
