Should Bill Guns get his competitor stars?
« on: May 27, 2007, 12:46:17 PM »
Ron, since Billy has competed several times and has "earned" placements does that qualify him to get his competitor stars?

this may require you to put down the krispy kreme donuts for one second but I would like a response from you.

if you answer is "yes" then can you explain the different between Mr Guns and Mr Goodrum other than their skin color?

both are in the .00001% genetic pool of humans that are immune from the benefits of steroids.

Actually, I think Billy and Dave look pretty good in that shot.

Billy needs about 25 pounds of muscle, but he knows how to get conditioned/tan/pose and he has the motivation, so I think he'll be competing for years to come. He could stop the juice and make the gains naturally.

Vince was NEVER as conditioned as Billy--not that I've seen. He does have more muscle, though.

The question for Ron is, do you get competitor stars for competing, or for competing and not sucking?  And, if he decides it's the later, when will he be taking away Arvilla's and Laura's stars?   ;D

Actually, Arvilla is where I see Billy Guns being 15 years from now if he continues to juice 24/7/365.

25 pounds of muscle, minimum. That would put him at a lean 205 in my hypothetical world where he STOPS JUICING for a few years to build a base. Then he could think about running a light cycle under close supervision etc.

To answer the question that originated this thread, if Mike and Laura have stars... yes.

Yes... and Vince deserves them also.

It doesn't say "Good competitor" or "High Placing Competitor" it just says "Competitor"

So yeah, he deserves his stars... and VG does too.

Better than him getting onstage at 180, that's for sure!  Realisticaly, each weight class should have maximum height limits to prevent people like Billy from embarasing themselves.

205 on a natural competitor, with impeccable conditioning, would be stringy, but better than 180, no?

He should get up to 205 or 210 lean (or higher) then consider juicing if he wants.

the rock bottom minimum that a competitor should weigh at that heigh onstage is 260 and even that will look sort of lanky at that height.

But he strikes awesome poses with his fanny pack while leaning on someone else's car!  ;D Plus he gives out expert advice, so the least we can give is 'expert' stars.  ;D
