He also invented the Sony Playstation 3 back in 1877 but Sony stole his idea and put it on market before he could get it patented.

You think that's crazy, can you imagine other BBer's actually stole his idea to do the Bench Press and Barbell Curls, of course this all happened while he was attempting to get a patent last year. Hell if he never invented those two exercises there wouldn't be BBing as we know it today and Jay Cutler would not have won the O.

Vince you had a good physique in 1970, but your excuse for being in the shape you`re in today doesn`t hold water.

Just train hard and eat clean,no DOMS or other shit is necessary............... don`t be lazy just because you`re older.

exactly my point

he looked great back in the day, now he looks like my grand-father who doesn't workout

2 guys in my gym are in their mid 60's and still compete and beat guy in their early 30's !

What some of you people don't know is that I don't reply to some of the lesser lights on Getbig. They can say whatever crap they want but I don't respond.

Just like in the Fat peoples thread where you only respond to Goatboy, Debussey and at times DK but otherwise avoid all posts by anyone trying to make a logical argument. I mean it's not like about a dozen former or current obese people haven't made good points or rebuttals concerning your outlandish posts yet you fail to respond to a single one of them but go on posting multiple paragraphs when Goatboys claims you like fatties. ::)

Vince, where in Sydney is your gym and/or do you have a website? I live in Sydney and might drop in for a workout and try out those crazy machines.
No doubt about it...

Don't you get it, Vince doesn't reply to any posts that makes sense, insult him or something and maybe you can get his attention...

Your machines confuse me. I'm looking at the seated calf raise machine and wondering how it works. And don't get me started on the biceps supinator. Still, some pretty impressive machines Vince.

Yeah but so can dumbbells and barbells. Still would be a fun machine to try, but i think ill stick to the tried and trusted free weights.
No doubt about it...

The Beef think this guy is out to lunch.

Long before you take anything to a prototype level, one approaches companies with a legal " statement on non disclosure." A signed SND is as good a pending patent and casts a hundred bucks or so from a lawyer.

Most large fitness companies welcome designs being submitted and even solicit them on their websites and no large producer of quality fitness equipment would develop a machine ( which was submitted to them ) without a partnership agreement simply because the bad press resulting from less then ethical practices is not worth the 10% they would have to pay out as a production royalty.

Anyone who drops a $100,000 on the development of a machine that is overly complex and could never be mass produced cost effectively is a fool. The Beef worked as a high level production supervisor for years and something far less complex would be difficult enough to manufacture ( just think about someone trying to assemble that out of the box ) it's a true homage to Rub Goldberg.

Agree entirely on avoidance of intricate, not a good move. On the other hand there's still plenty of room for better designs. The big name brands are still inconsistent.

The Beef would say it's our old buddy Vince.

Good point Pumpster, however I don't think Vince is the guy to solve their problems. Oh yeah Vince, can we see a picture of this manufacturing facility / plant you own?

I thought about a biceps machine for a long time. The strongest position where you can isolate your biceps is the seated or incline position. That is why I chose a seated position. You use this machine as if you were curling dumbbells.

If you had lopsided dumbbells you could simulate the supination by holding the handles close to one side. The other side would feel heavier and you would recruit the supination muscles to turn them as you curled them.

It was really tricky to get everything to feel right. The counterweight is required to balance the movement because the handles are heavy and made of solid stainless steel. The machine has been made to last. Sort of like a tombstone!

why dont you just save 100,000 and curl a dumbell for god's sake?

Just look at Vinces arms NOW, compared to his 70's pics and you see that the Biceps-Super-Supinator is teh best biceps growing wonder machine there is.

BTW, Vince Basile also invented protein AND oxygen, but he could not afford the patents because he had to build the Supinator.
I heard that nobody else then Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to play the Supinator in the Supinator movie, coming out next year.

Too bad Vince forgot to buy the rights to the name "Supinator", so Arnie's making all the money...  ::)

I am currently involved in designs for an equipment company.

Complexity's not a problem at all for using a machine, but in terms of durability consider the value of simplicity on the AK-47 or T-34, vs. the Space Shuttle's problems related to complexity.
