Are you serious?  What if I drop an object from my hand?  Will it hit the ground or stay in the air?

Don't try to outsmart VVV, he might actually try this out and hurt himself!

Then you wonder why I don't want to discuss things with you guys.

Please identify this wonderer, Vince.

Also, in the future, can you not want to discuss things in less than 1,000 pretentious blue words per post.

You're an idiot, Bob.  In 2007 Arnold may be a living legand, but way back in 1968 he was just another up and coming bodybuilder, and at that point in time it hardly would have been presumptuous on Vince's part to offer him advice.

I guess he was a pretty good "up and coming bodybuilder" ....being that he had already won the Mr. Europe and Mr. Universe TWICE...

The advices Vince was giving (BTW...who the fuck was HE?) was unsoliciated....as usual.

idiot.

Well thankfully for this thread, bodybuilding, the movie industry, and the state of California... Arnold never listened.

Wow, thats deep... imagine everything I mentioned without Arnolds influence... if Arnold had never existed in any of those areas... DAMN thats thought provoking.

Arnold has changed the whole world during his lifetime so far in so many aspects. He is going to go down as one of the most influential people of all time. Where as Vince has trouble changing his senior diapers and has influenced fat people that's it's ok to be the way they are cause it's not their fault. ::) ::) ::)

Bob is a child that thinks he is being funny, but, instead comes off as childish and arrogant. Kind of like that little cousin you have at Thanksgiving who starts to yell and scream when people stop paying attention to them.

This thread had nothing to do with Bob at the start and shouldn't have anything to do with him anywhere else. Big surprise he spoke up though, and so eloquently at that...

Hey Bob you are supposed to be a professional, how about maybe you give us kiddies here a heads up on how to do that? It would really be appreciated and I am sure we would be the most popular kids in grade 5 with your help.

Your attempts at discussion and humour are laughable. You should spend more time lifting weights and eating as they seem to be things you are good at. Typing up (or thinking for that matter) complete thoughts doesn't seem to be your strong suit.

I appreciate that there are quite a few highly intelligent guys on this forum.

I also appreciate that too.  ;)

Bob is painting himself into a corner here and I hope he changes his attitude.

You shouldn't reply to his comments, it will only make the fight go on and on..

Lots of people tried to help Arnold. Sometimes he listened and sometimes he didn't. Now, either I am right about posing or I know very little about that art. Arnold seemed like the proverbial musclebound guy when he arrived at Golds and Vince's Gyms in October 1968. I arrived there during the same week Arnold did. Arnold posed for photos and he let me measure his biceps and around the shoulders. He said to come back in a couple of weeks before I could measure his calves. Arms were 21 1/2 and about 62 around the shoulders. He was quite approachable and always seemed to be the center of attention. He did his own thing in those days and had a lot of fun.

When he was at my penthouse in Manly in 1974 after giving posing displays and seminars at my gym and Tony's Gym we talked about bodybuilding, acting and other things. I told him he would never make it in the movies because even the great Steve Reeves didn't do that well and Steve was a hero because of his Hercules successes. Arnold literally thanked me because he said that makes him try harder. Who would have believed the success ahead for Arnold? They found the perfect vehicle for him. A role that was half man and half machine! That was believable and Arnold became a star.

I am still not happy that Arnold, who was the guest of honour, left the lounge room and was later found in a bedroom. There was no scandal because everyone bent over backwards to help Arnold.

Arnold shared a house with Paul Graham, Ken Moran and I think Bob Bruce in late 1968. This is what Ken Moran told me and Paul never denied it. Paul went to jail for exporting stolen cars to Australia. I was there in Honolulu when the FBI nabbed him. There was a cartoon in the Honolulu paper on the front page of "Mr Australia" lifting a car. Paul never won Mr Australia but came second. Ken Moran came to Vancouver with a red almost new Boss Mustang. Apparently he had to leave LA fast because he said he was in an accident for driving on the wrong side of the road. Amazing that he was rich enough to buy that car. Even though Paul spent over 2 years in jail in America he was allowed to be at Arnold's wedding years later. From what I read of the immigration laws that shouldn't have been possible for people convicted of crimes and deported from the USA. Paul is still the IFBB vice-president and no one can get rid of him in the Australian bodybuilding scene.

I had to be belittled by both Paul and Arnold in the 1975 Mr Australia contest. I protested at the judges meeting that Roger Walker had already won and someone else should have a chance like they did in the Mr America contest. No one supported me at the meeting. Roger won and I was put last. Paul gave me 25 points out of 100 and Arnold also put me last. Do you think I admire what Arnold and Paul did that day? They thought it was funny. I was blamed for booing at Robert Nailon the week before when many felt Hans Myer should have won the Mr NSW. I heard they were going to get even with me in Melbourne. I warned Frank Burwash that Paul was going to put me down. He did nothing and let it happen. I have a letter from Frank confirming what Paul and Arnold did. I was a fool to enter that show. It turned out to be my last contest because I tore a biceps a few years later.

Fast forward another 5 years and there is Arnold winning the Mr Olympia with mate Brendan Ryan, a junior competitor, judging while Peter McCarthy, many times Mr Australia, had to be the alternate judge because he mysteriously missed the judges meeting. Peter was there but didn't know the meeting was taking place. He got there late so wasn't allowed to judge. What a travesty. Arnold might have been the best bodybuilder on stage but there were irregularities in the judging process. I have all the score sheets somewhere so will write another story about that contest. No magazine would publish my story and I gave my copy to Mike Mentzer. I doubt it still exists.

I am writing these comments under my own name. Do you think those guys would do nothing if what I said wasn't true? They fixed the contest so that I would place last. That is a fact. Can anyone think of more despicable behaviour for a Mr Olympia than fixing a contest while he is judging? There was Arnold in Pumping Iron giving 'bad advices' to that hapless youth who was told to scream while he posed. Yeah, Arnold was a card. He knew he was going to win in 1975 in Pretoria. Do you honestly believe they would have allowed Serge Nubret to win that contest in a country ruled by apartheid? They wouldn't and they didn't.

Arnold is a good talker. I give him credit for being able to handle himself in crowds. He is motivated to a degree that few ascend to. How the hell did a big Austrian musclehead become reelected governor of California? The movie star feat was amazing enough.

Great story!

Are you serious Monsta?  Vince would be a liability to this publication.

Monsta, do you want this magazine to fail?  By recommending Vince, you would guarantee this!

The guy is self deluded.  His writing style lacks creativity and flair.

Dont stroke Vince's ego.  You should know by now that a lot Vince's stories are just manufactured heresay!
