Too bad they don't disclose % of PPV buys each fighter gets, if any.

Jackson was paid 450 thousand taken diretly from the Ufc website.

A few days before the fight, Jackson insisted he didn't care about having the belt around his waist. It was, he said, all about the money.

"Paper. Cheddar. That's it. First and last," Jackson insisted.

He got his share of the cheddar for walloping Liddell, earning $450,000.

As good as banking that money sounded to him – "I want to get me a Bentley," he said, beaming – he clearly was falling in love with the gaudy gold belt he had strapped around his waist.

Had he a bigger name opponent, Din would have been on the maincard.  He is a good fighter with well rounded skills.  His double off of his cross was smoooooooth.  He has a win over Jens, and has faced top tier competition.

Gouveia, if motivated could make some noise in the division.  He is very well rounded with a slick ground game.  He comes from a great camp.

Not sure if any of those have major sponsors but BJ gets an additional $40,000 a fight from Xyience on top of the $180,000 a year contract, plus $10,000 in product every three months.  So it adds up pretty good.  I am sure Chuck gets allot more than that.  In addition, you are going to start seeing merchindise in retail outlets with certain MMA fighters.  So even allot more money for a selected few.

too bad a sub par athlete like Oscar De la Hota made 53 million last year.  #2 on the yearly earnings list of athletes behind Tiger.  Can't people see that boxing has crappy fighters and MMA has all the real athletes?

These earnings are terrible. They'd be lucky to take home half of that after taxes.

I wonder what Dana White took home?
